Mercedes-Benz introduces the all-new 2024 GLC Coupe

ABU DHABI: Mercedes-Benz has introduced new generations of the GLC-class SUV and C-class sedan in the past two years. Now the German automaker debuts the 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe. It looks adventure-ready and robust from the outside and premium and impressive from the inside. 

The GLC Coupe is the lifestyle model in the SUV lineup of Mercedes. It is sleeker, bigger, and slightly more aerodynamic than its predecessor. The track width can be increased at the front by 0.2 inches and 0.9 inches at the rear. The height can also be increased by 0.2 inches.

Due to the bigger dimensions, the interior space has significantly increased. There are 19.2 cubic feet of rear cargo space. The cargo space can be increased to 52.6 cubic feet by folding the rear seats. An impressive technology of the 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupé is digital light with projection functions. 

All variants of the revamped coupe feature an electric drive technology, either as a mild hybrid with an integrated starter-generator and 48-volt technology for an extra boost or as a plug-in hybrid suitable for everyday needs. The mild-hybrid variant features a second-generation integrated starter generator and a turbocharger. The coupe comes with an 11-kW charger and the optional 60-kW charger that can charge up the battery pack in thirty minutes.

The highlight of the 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupé is its bigger dimension and sporty silhouette. Mechanically, the Coupe shares lots of similarities with any other GLC. It has the new multi-link rear suspension and the four-link front suspension, and the same turbocharged, 2.0-liter four-cylinder. The '24 GLC Coupe offers tons of new standard features like wireless phone charging, a Burmester 3D surround-sound system, and heated seats. 

The 2024 GLC Coupe will be launched as of July 2023 in western European markets. It is also estimated to arrive in the UAE soon after its western European launch. Pricing for the Coupe has not been announced yet, but it is expected to be more expensive than the GLC SUV.
