Bentley Continental GT Mulliner Convertible to debut at Geneva Motor Show

Bentley Continental GT Mulliner Convertible to debut at Geneva Motor Show

As the 2020 Geneva Motor Show draws closer, the preparations from automakers are reaching a high. Bentley, one of the largest luxury automaker also has something interesting to display at the upcoming auto show. Indeed, the updated Continental GT Convertible is going to one great debut.

The update on the Bentley Continental GT Convertible has been given by the automaker’s bespoke division. However, the makeover is restricted to the aesthetics mostly. The car now rides on 22-inch alloy wheels that are designed by Mulliner. However, what’s most interesting is the addition of self-leveling badges that remain upright and straight at all times.

The buyers of the Bentley Continental GT Convertible can choose among eight different colour combinations. Each of the combinations comes with three colours used attractively. Plus, according to what the automaker claimed, the interior contains around 400,000 stitches, which has been taken up from 310,675 in the 2019 version. It has taken around 18 months to develop this embroidery brilliance.

Much of the details are not out yet and we have to wait for its debut at the upcoming motor show. However, we can expect the same mechanical setup to be carried forward. This means the 2020 model will continue to be driven by a W12 engine that makes 635 PS of maximum power and 900 Nm of peak torque.

As for the performance, if it gets the same engine, it could do the 0-100 kmph sprint in 3.8 seconds and hit a top speed of 333 kmph. If buyers need an option in the engine too, the good news is the upcoming car could also be offered in the 4.0-litre, twin-turbo engine that would be slightly slower than the other engine.

The UAE market already has the Bentley Continental GT Convertible in both the engine specifications, though the probability of the Mulliner-inspired model is not confirmed. All we can do is wait for the Geneva show to find out more about the details.
