Built on a 2,590 mm long wheelbase, the new-generation Hyundai Creta features a five-seat configuration inside the cabin. It sports a dual-tone colour theme inside dominated by a dark shade with a splash of beige on the dashboard. Also, a tinge of silver finishing around ac vents, steering wheel, climate control buttons, and gear knob, etc. complements well with the dark colour theme. On the comfort front, there is ample shoulder space both at the front and rear (1,387/1,365), while the headroom and leg space is slightly less at the back compared to the front. Equipment list includes a cluster ionizer, adjustable headrests in front and back, fully automatic temperature control and rear ac vents for occupants seated at the back. Tilt steering, power outlets at both ends, push-button start, electronic chromic mirror, etc. are also part of the pack. A premium sound system with four speakers and 2 tweeters along with advanced connectivity techs such as video playing and image viewing, audio settings, latest Bluetooth 4.0 version, and a touchscreen audio video navigation system are layered on the dashboard.
Creta Exterior

The upright front features a three-slat chrome finished grille flanking swooping headlamps with integrated headlamps. Lower down, the bumper houses fog lamps and blackened air-intakes. Highlighted by a sharp beltline, the sides of the five-seater crossover equip chunky R17, diamond cut alloys that are tucked neatly under pronounced wheel arches. Another key element infusing SUV-ish character on the outside is the thick body cladding; also, the roof rails atop add to the sporty flair. The side door mirrors get integrated LED indicators and the chrome-accented outside door handles further enhance the premium quotient. At the back, it sports split tail-lamps, sporty bumper and an integrated roof spoiler. As for Hyundai Creta colour choices, it is available in seven shades including earth brown, mystic blue, phantom-black, stardust, red-passion, sleek silver and polar white.

There are two options for the diesel range, a 1.4-litre CRDi unit and a 1.6-litre CRDi engine with power figures rated at 90 PS and 128PS respectively. Akin to the petrol engine, the diesel range also misses out on an all-wheel drivetrain. As for gearbox options, the six-speed manual unit is standard whereas the six-speed auto box is available only with the 1.6-litre oil burner.

Hyundai’s compact crossover is a well-packed five-seater with comfortable interior space and a host of features ensuring a comfortable ride experience for the occupants. Although, it misses out on an all-wheel-drive system and some other advanced connectivity features available with the new-age models in the segment. Overall, it is an affordable option in the five-seat compact crossover space.
