The 190 mm ground clearance fits the urban infrastructure of the UAE. It gets over 150 mm speed bumps typical within a residential neighborhood (Al Barsha, Mirdif) without scraping, and manages the gravel parking lot or desert access road that appears at the weekend in Al Qudra. Nevertheless, it is a pure soft-roader, and it cannot be used seriously off-road due to the angles of approach and departure.

The peak torque of 4,500 RPM is a failing on real-world driving. The engine is positioned below its torque band at 100 km/h cruise (somewhere in the region of 2,200 RPM in IVT). Hyundai Creta 1.5 MPI is not a car of drivers. It puts practicality over emotions: it provides a capable, feature-packed package, which covers the unique needs of UAE ownership: insatiable AC performance, thermal performance, manageable size in city car parks, and low operation costs.

The powertrain is sufficient and mediocre. The 115 PS power is enough to drive in the city only that one must plan to overtake on the highway. The IVT transmission feels smoother compared to the low-end CVTs, however produces some discernible noise when the throttle is heavy.

The Hyundai Creta has been able to win where it matters most feature density at the Ultimate level of trim. Ventilated seats, blind spot monitoring, and a Bose sound system are options that are normally found in cars that are 30-40 percent more expensive.
