Abu Dhabi : Toyota unveils the all‑new hybrid Land Cruiser in the UAE, which is the first in the world. It has a blend of legendary off‑road capability with electrified efficiency.

Al‑Futtaim Toyota has introduced the 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser Hybrid in the UAE. This makes the region the first to receive this electrified version of the iconic SUV.

This new variant, which is made to celebrate the legacy of adventure and reliability of the Land Cruiser, combines its go‑anywhere nature with Toyota’s latest hybrid tech to help enhance power, efficiency and driver comfort. All these they do while they maintain the ruggedness it is known for.

Hybrid Powertrain Performance

The Land Cruiser Hybrid combines a 3.5 L twin‑turbo V6 petrol engine with a parallel hybrid system under the bonnet, to deliver a total of 457 hp and 790 Nm of torque.

Toyota claims it’s the most powerful Land Cruiser they've ever produced, with 20 per cent more torque and 40 per cent better throttle response than its petrol-only counterpart. Notably, the hybrid setup retains pure‑petrol operation if the system fails, which is ideal for remote environments.

Combat-Tested in the UAE

The company designed this model and trialled in real‑world UAE conditions so it could navigate deserts, wadis and mountain trails.

They have waterproofed the hybrid battery system for water fording, and the vehicle retains off‑road capabilities. Signature design elements include Jet Black Hybrid bumpers on the VXR grade and Hybrid/457TT badging that emphasise its electrified identity.

Tech & Off‑Road Enhancements

• Electric Power Steering (EPS) for superior manoeuvrability on and off‑road.
• 1 500 W onboard AC power inverter (220 V) to help power electronics and camping gear.
• Includes Toyota’s full suite of driver‑assist and off‑road features.
• Luxury interior appointments, which vary by trim, so as to add refinement to rugged capability.
