Toyota Hiace

The Toyota Hiace's interior is relatively straightforward, much like its design. It has a grip on the A-pillar to make getting in and out easier because it is a van. The view in front is open and expansive once you are in the driver's seat. The angle of the five-spoke steering wheel can be manually adjusted. There is a simple metre cluster behind it. The layout and appearance of the dashboard are simple. Since the gear lever is an essential component of the dashboard, there is room between the two front seats.

Bottle holders are located on the doors. In the dashboard, there are a few cup holders as well. AM/FM/CD/AUX/USB are supported by the entertainment system. The manual air conditioning controls are situated beneath it. Moreover, the area under the glove box has storage.

The Hiace is a lengthy automobile. It has a length of 5380 mm. The Hiace comes in a wide variety from Toyota. Also, the interior arrangement after the front two seats varies depending on the type you choose. For instance, all of the rows of the 13-seater commuter variant's roof-mounted air conditioning vents. The van's right side sliding door allows access inside. Since the entrance is adequately wide, entering and exiting shouldn't be a problem. All rows have adequate foot space. Four rows will be set up towards the back.

The Toyota Hiace's appearance doesn't exactly draw attention. People may give it a second glance, but not because of how it looks; rather, it will be because of its size. The Hiace is a van, and it has a van's exterior. The enormous headlamps on the front fascia are joined by a wide chrome grille that extends somewhat to cover the top of the front bumper. The Toyota badge is located above the grille in the middle.

The Hiace features a broad character line that extends the entire length of the MPV as you move to the side. It adds a little bit of intrigue to the otherwise straightforward vista. The vehicle has some life to it thanks to the wheel arches' indentations. The alloy wheels are well-designed. The Hiace's roofline bends at the front and continues straight to the rear, when it practically drops vertically.

The Toyota Hiace's rear end is as straightforward as they come. There are two little tail lights that are vertical. For improved visibility, Toyota has also fitted a roof-mounted brake light. The company's emblem is located below the windscreen. A horizontal chrome accent can be seen as you move closer to the ground. The lettering for the automobile name and version is on either side of this.

The Hiace's suspension system comprises of a rigid leaf spring in the back and a double wishbone up front. The configuration is the same for all variations. It has been modified to ensure the best possible ride quality for the passengers when used as a commuter van or to prevent cargo bouncing when used as a transport van.

The Hiace should only be driven as an MPV or van when travelling. It's not intended for destroying corners and producing fast lap times. If the Hiace is utilised for what it was designed for in the first place, it performs superbly.

The Toyota Hiace specification sheet for the engine lists only one engine type: a 2.7-liter 4-cylinder engine calibrated to produce a maximum of 149 horsepower at 4800 revolutions per minute and 240 Nm of peak torque at 3800 revolutions per minute. There are two options for the gearbox system: a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic. Just the commuter trim is offered in the automatic version.

Toyota chose this engine because it thought that its 2.7-litre capacity would be more than enough to move this enormous van without breaking a sweat, whether it was hauling people or freight.

The Toyota Hiace is equipped with a set of 195R15C size tyres to offer good grip. They offer the proper amount of traction to keep the Hiace planted during harsh braking as well as upright while navigating turns. The Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) that Toyota added to the Hiace helps the vehicle brake more effectively.
