Abu Dhabi : The launch of G700 in Dubai highlights the role of the Chinese automaker in the growing Middle Eastern market. 

JETOUR has opened up a new chapter in the premium SUV segment in the UAE with the introduction of the all-new G700 SUV. The global launch event was held at the Armani Hotel in Burj Khalifa, Dubai. Choosing the UAE for this world premiere highlights the Middle East as a crucial market for the Chinese carmaker.

JETOUR G700 Engine and Key Specs

The G700 is the first model built on JETOUR’s GAIA Architecture, a platform made for hybrid off-road vehicles. This platform offers features like up to 350 mm ground clearance, tank-turning, crab-walking, satellite communication, and an AI-powered cockpit.

As JETOUR’s top model, the G700 merges advanced technology with strong performance. The JETOUR G700 engine is the 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder unit that works with two electric motors to produce nearly 900 hp. It also introduces the first-ever dual-speed hybrid DHT (Dedicated Hybrid Transmission) in the industry, balancing power and fuel economy.

Two powertrains back the GAIA platform: the iDM-O Super Hybrid System, aimed for both fuel efficiency and tough off-road use, and the iEM-O Amphibious System, which provides very high torque for severe road conditions, including water crossings.

The G700 is designed for luxury on paved roads and strong capabilities off-road, ideal for testing in the UAE’s desert and mountainous areas.

The G700 impresses at first glance with its strong lines and bold surfaces. The tall front, shaped like a high mountain pass facing a storm, gives the car a tough, classic feel that stands tall and proud. This design captures the strength, height, and power you see in the Himalayas.

• The SUV gets a large front grille and Matrix LED headlights. 
• Built on a body-on-frame chassis, it measures 5153 mm long, 2050 mm wide, and 1960 mm tall. It rides on a 2850 mm wheelbase and has 230 mm ground clearance.
• A panoramic sunroof is standard on COM and MID trims, upgraded to a segmented type on the LUX version. 
• Power-folding mirrors and side steps (fixed on COM/MID, electric on LUX) add functionality. Wheels range between 18 and 20 inches, with all-terrain tyres available for off-road use.
• The SUV gets digital taillights that can be pre-programmed to create various shapes and messages.

Inside, the G700 brings a tech-focused design with all the bells and whistles. The premium ambiance captures the attention instantly. 

• It features a 35.4-inch panoramic digital display, a 15.6 to 15.8-inch central touchscreen depending on the trim, and a 17.3-inch rear entertainment screen in LUX models.
• Sound system range starts with 12 speakers on the COM trim and goes up to an 18-speaker Lexicon system with Dolby Atmos in the LUX, for an immersive audio experience.
• The car comes with a flexible five or six-seat setup, depending on the trim. The front passenger seat reclines all the way back. The seats in the second row lean back up to 145 degrees for a great view. You can fold the third-row seats flat with one touch, so the space can work for all sorts of trips.
• The front seats also include electric adjustment, heating, and lumbar support, while higher trims add massage and memory functions. MID and LUX trims have electric second-row seats with leg rests, and the top LUX trim includes electric controls for the third row.
• The rear 8.88-inch climate control touchscreen lets each passenger set their own temperature, so everyone can relax in a space that feels just right.

JETOUR G700 Safety

The G700 is built with a strong body and includes various features to protect the occupants. 

• It includes standard safety features like multiple airbags, ABS, and Electronic Stability Control. 
• Higher trims add Level 2 autonomous driving aids, such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Detection, and Automatic Emergency Braking. 
• The inclusion of a 360-degree camera system also improves visibility and safety.

Focus on the GCC Market

JETOUR targets the Middle East, with particular attention to the UAE and Qatar as part of its “Travel+” global strategy. The brand sold over 560,000 vehicles worldwide in 2024, an increase of 80.3 per cent from the previous year, pushing forward with its electric and hybrid vehicle plans.

The UAE has already welcomed the JETOUR T2 i-DM earlier this year. With the G700 launch, buyers get access to the brand’s most advanced SUV, combining hybrid technology, luxury, and strong off-road abilities, ready to compete in the tough GCC SUV market.

The JETOUR G700 price in the UAE starts at AED 179,900 and reaches up to AED 230,000. Rivals include luxury SUVs like the Mercedes-Benz G-Class and Land Rover Defender, amphibious models such as the BYD YangWang U8, and other Chinese off-roaders like GWM Tank and Dongfeng Mengshi.

It also competes with mid-to-full-size SUVs, including the Changan CS95, Haval H9, and Geely Xingyue L.
