Toyota Launches New Corolla Cross with Sporty GR SPORT Grade for 2025

Abu Dhabi : The standard Corolla Cross will be made available in summer 2025 across Europe; the GR SPORT follows in autumn.

Toyota has unveiled the refreshed Corolla Cross SUV in the region. It now features a dynamic GR SPORT grade and pioneering new Snow Extra mode for improved winter handling and driving comfort.

Refined SUV Design and Enhanced Comfort

Toyota Corolla Cross features a bold honeycomb front grille, redesigned LED lights, and a rear logo that adds character. The updated cabin includes a new gear knob, larger centre console, wireless charging, and better smartphone storage. Toyota also added noise-reducing materials in the roof and rear area, and introduced a three-layer dash silencer in high grades for a quiet ride.

GR SPORT Grade Joins the Line-up

For the first time, a GR SPORT grade is offered. It gets a lowered suspension (-10 mm), tuned steering, Sport Mode with stronger acceleration and braking, and paddle shifters. On the outside, 19-inch black alloys, GR logos, a unique grille, and the Storm Grey bi-tone colour give it a sporty identity. Inside, suede-like seats with red stitching complete the look.

All-New Snow Extra Mode for AWD-i Models

In AWD-i variants, Snow Extra mode uses the rear motor to avoid wheel spin and keep traction steady during:

• Acceleration.
• Braking.
• Lane changes.
• Cornering.

This gives drivers better control in icy or snowy road conditions.

Modern Technology and Hybrid Efficiency

All grades come with a 10.5-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital cluster. The infotainment system supports faster Android connectivity and standard Apple CarPlay. The Corolla Cross continues with the Hybrid 140 and Hybrid 200 systems, offering efficiency and performance. Toyota's T-Mate safety system with over-the-air updates is standard.

Safety and Convenience First

Toyota T-Mate now includes third-gen Toyota Safety Sense, improved driving and parking aids, and live updates. The enhanced headlights use adaptive high-beam tech for clearer night vision, while new ambient lighting adds to cabin comfort.

The new Corolla Cross is more stylish, smarter, and ready for all seasons. From sporty GR looks to quiet comfort and hybrid strength, it’s built to please families and SUV lovers alike. While UAE launch plans aren't yet confirmed, the regional popularity of the Corolla brand suggests it may arrive soon.
