Porsche Macan EV design revealed in stunning sketches

ABU DHABI: As the automotive industry is embracing the concept of electrification and coming up with new EVs, Porsche is all set to make a significant contribution to an eco-friendly future with the unveiling of the Porsche Macan EV. Its global premiere is scheduled for January 25, 2024, in Singapore marking a huge milestone in the journey of Porsche toward sustainable mobility. Before its global premier, Porsche released the Macan EV’s official design sketches, providing a glimpse of its aesthetics.

As revealed in the design sketches, The Porsche Macan EV mirrors the Porsche Taycan with a full-width rear light bar and horizontal LED-accented headlamps. It prioritizes aerodynamic efficiency and is equipped with Porsche Active Aerodynamics elements, including active cooling flaps and an extending rear spoiler, resulting in a drag coefficient of around 0.25 Cd. 

This design underscores the commitment of the German automaker to maximizing both performance and visual appeal in the electric vehicle segment. The Macan EV testifies to Porsche's unwavering dedication to top-notch performance, environmental consciousness, and luxury in the electric mobility segment.

The Porsche Macan is based on the PPE platform that has been co-developed with Audi. It features an 800-volt electrical architecture, 100 kWh battery, and 270 kW DC charging. The most powerful configuration generates 612 PS and 1000 Nm and offers dual-motor all-wheel drive.
