Jetour T2 UAE Review: Price, Problems, and Trim Levels Explained
Abu Dhabi: If you happen to check any Elite Cars showroom in Al Quoz on a random day, it is not unusual to find people gathered around the Jetour T2. These are not the brand’s sales staff but curious people and families just checking out the brand. Whether it is families from Sharjah who drove over after Friday prayers, or young professionals from Dubai Marina who came just to have a look, or a couple from Abu Dhabi. This is the brand pull of these Chinese automakers that has just gripped the market within a short time.
KEY TAKEAWAYS
Is the Jetour T2 actually capable off-road, or is it built for city driving?
The Jetour T2 measures 4,785 mm long, 2,006 mm wide, and 1,880 mm tall, with a 2,800 mm wheelbase.Which are the top rivals of the T2 in the UAE?
Toyota Fortuner, Tank 300, and BAIC BJ40.The T2 made its official debut in the UAE in early 2024 and has been building serious momentum ever since. It sits in a segment the UAE has love for: the boxy, off-road-capable, proper 4WD SUV. The kind of car that works in JLT traffic on a Tuesday and on a Hatta dirt track on a Friday. With a compelling package that includes a starting price under AED 150,000, a 10-year warranty, and a feature list that competes with cars costing twice as much, the T2 has gained real traction and attention. However, attention alone does not automatically make it a fantastic car; we find out all the details.
Three Variants
The T2 comes in three variants in the UAE. Each variant targets a slightly different type of UAE buyer, and it is necessary that you know them well before making a decision.

Looking at the base, it is pretty clear that the entry "Luxury" is a stripped-out base model. It comes with a 15.6-inch touchscreen, 4WD, seven terrain modes, and keyless entry. The Luxury Plus adds the Sony 12-speaker system, ventilated and heated front seats, the 360-degree camera, and Snapdragon-powered infotainment. For most buyers, the question is really between the Luxury Plus and the hybrid.
If you can afford it at AED 179,000, the Luxury Plus is the real deal, redefining your premium experience. You get the full feature set without paying for a powertrain you may not fully use. But if you are doing heavy city driving in Dubai and Abu Dhabi five days a week and fuel prices are on your mind since April's hike, the hybrid at AED 159,000 starts making a very serious argument.
Premium Cabin
The sheer number of features in the T2's interior truly blows away many buyers. You get the impression instantly that the cabin does not feel like a budget SUV. The dual-screen setup, a 10.25-inch digital cluster paired with a 15.6-inch central display, runs on the Snapdragon 8155 chip. That is the same processor in high-end smartphones, and the difference in response speed compared to older infotainment systems is immediately obvious.
Key features across the range:
- Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard
- 540-degree panoramic parking camera system for tight Dubai parking lots
- 64-color ambient lighting and panoramic sunroof (voice-controlled on Luxury Plus)
- Ventilated and heated front seats with massage function on luxury plus
- Chilled glovebox, perfect for a bottle of water in a 46-degree Jumeirah afternoon
- Dual-zone automatic climate control with rear AC vents
- Second row seats with 150 mm slide and recline, and 60/40 folding for longer loads

The boot offers 425 liters of space behind the rear seats, which expands to over 1,200 liters when the seats are folded down; this provides a significant amount of room, whether you are heading to Carrefour or camping near Jebel Jais.
Two Engines
The petrol engine is a 2.0-liter turbocharged one, which makes 254 hp and 390 Nm of torque, and it is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The 0–100 km/h time of around 6.7 seconds makes it brisk for a car this size. On Sheikh Zayed Road, it feels composed, and in Sport mode, it feels a lot more refined than what you expect, say, at the price point.
There is also a hybrid option, which makes it a totally different kind of SUV. The 1.5-liter engine is paired with twin electric motors for a combined 375 hp and 610 Nm. The 26.7 kWh battery provides up to 140 km of electric range and a total range of 800 km, making it suitable for your daily commutes across Dubai in fully electric mode. The fast charging takes 30 to 40 minutes. While it still falls short of Japanese rivals in outright refinement, the T2’s hybrid setup feels smooth, responsive, and well-tuned.
The brand says and puts a lot of emphasis on the fact that you get BorgWarner's sixth-generation AWD system with seven modes: eco, normal, sport, snow, mud, sand, and rock. With a wading depth of 700 mm and a ground clearance of 220 mm, a wadi near Fujairah or a soft sand trail near Liwa is quite easy to navigate with such specs.
What Matters?
The running costs are one area where the T2 surprises buyers who were expecting a Chinese brand to cut corners.
- Service intervals are every 10,000 km, costing AED 500 to AED 800 per visit.
- The 10-year or 1 million km warranty covers the powertrain extensively.
- The hybrid battery comes with 8 years or 150,000 km coverage
- Fuel economy on the Petrol in real UAE traffic sits at 9 to 13 km per liter, which is decent for the size of the car.
- Interestingly, during the Ramadan promotion in April 2026, 0% interest for up to 3 years was on offer, alongside free insurance and 5-year roadside assistance.

The Problems
Now, expectedly, even if on paper it looks like a great package, there is nothing fully right. And no car at this price is without some sort of compromises or short-coming. The T2 has a few points worth knowing before you sign.
The availability of spare parts is improving, but not at par with established brands. Some early buyers, but not all, have expressed some delay. compared to Toyota or Nissan dealers, where parts are almost always on the shelf. The Elite Cars network covers Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Ajman, and Sharjah, which is solid coverage, but it is not the same density as a brand that has been in the UAE for 30 years, which is an obvious fact.
Now the driver assistance systems are advanced tech, certainly useful, but they also can feel overly cautious. Lane keeping assistance on Sheikh Zayed Road will occasionally poke the steering wheel when you are simply changing lanes intentionally. It can be switched off, but it is worth knowing.
A final, but important, detail is the T2's 220mm of ground clearance, which is good but not class-leading. For serious dune driving in the deep Rub' al Khali, you will want to air down the tires properly and use Sand mode. It handles soft sand well, but it is not a Patrol or a Land Cruiser in extreme conditions.
Is it really worth it?
The answer is not universal but rather subjective. But the T2 makes most sense for three types of UAE buyers. The family in Sharjah or Mirdif who needs space, reliability, and a low monthly payment under AED 2,500. The young professional in Dubai who wants something that looks serious and is fully loaded with technology without spending AED 300,000. And the hybrid buyer who drives daily in Abu Dhabi or Dubai and wants fuel costs to drop sharply after April's petrol hike.
What Jetour has done with the T2 is compress the feature gap between affordable and expensive. At AED 144,000, this car has a 15.6-inch Snapdragon-powered screen, 4WD, seven terrain modes, and a 10-year warranty. That combination simply did not exist in this segment three years ago.
The T2 is not perfect. But in the UAE in 2026, it is very hard to ignore.
