Ford Everest V6: Middle East real-world testing begins ahead of the November launch

Ford has a local testing programme underway, with a regional launch for the new 2.7-litre V6 Everest set for November 2026.

Ford has been running real-world trials for the 2026 Everest V6 in the Middle East, working with its Dubai-based development team and a new customer fleet validation programme. Both streams run together, assessing the SUV's performance in local conditions ahead of deliveries in late 2026. Ford has not previously run this dual-track process in the region. Customer vehicles enter testing before the launch date.

The V6 powertrain

Ford's 2.7-litre V6 EcoBoost petrol engine powers the new model, producing 310 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque. A 10-speed automatic handles the gear changes. That 500 Nm suits desert driving and towing; the 10 ratios are spread wide enough to keep motorway cruising smooth. The Tremor variant gets that same powertrain, which should make the spec sheet worth watching when pricing lands.

Real-world MENA testing programme

Ford's Dubai-based Product Development team runs a tailored evaluation programme for the region. Tests cover the toughest GCC conditions a vehicle is likely to face: prolonged operation in extreme ambient heat, constant direct sunlight, desert sand tracks and challenging mountain roads.

In-Market Voice of Customer Fleet

Ford has launched the MENA In-Market Voice of Customer Fleet Validation Program ahead of the 2026 Everest V6's market debut. Selected fleet drivers across the region are running the V6 in daily operations as the first vehicle through the scheme.

If you've been following how rivals handle regional validation, this dual-track approach of development team plus live fleet is less common than it sounds.

Ford's engineering teams receive direct feedback from those vehicles across a wide range of climates, terrains and driving styles. Any issues can then be investigated before the first customer deliveries. Build process, parts, or software calibration can still be adjusted in that window. Running a live customer fleet before launch is the right call for a market this demanding.
