You can fold the third row with just a touch of a button to extend the boot space. With all rows unfolded, you’ll get cargo capacity of 595 litres, and with 2nd and 3rd rows folded the cargo volume extends up to 2,314 litres. Apart from the dimensions of this SUV, on the comfort and convenience front, Explorer appears with the latest high-end tech features like heads up display that presents the information within the eyesight of the driver. The leather seats offer the utmost comfort, plus the Active Motion system is designed to accommodate the passengers with the lumbar massage. In terms of, multimedia and infotainment you’ll get 8-inch colour LCD touchscreen stacked in the centre of the dashboard. The sports tuned suspension perfectly balances the vehicle and keeps this SUV upright and ensures the high-end off-road performance. Plus Ford has equipped all the grades of Explorer with Curve Control system, which reduces the speed by 16km/hr/second as it senses that vehicle is turning at Overspeed. It then takes control of the vehicle and reduces the acceleration and activates the four-wheel braking simultaneously. This system works perfectly irrespective of the road condition to ensure that Explorer remains on the right track. 

Being offered in 4 variants, the first three grades Base, XLT, and Limited are powered by 3.5L V6 Ti-VCT petrol engine. This powerful engine can deliver a maximum power of 290 hp at 6,500 rpm and torque of 255 lb. ft. at 4,000 rpm. And, the power is transmitted through six-speed auto SelectShift transmission. These variants come standard with two-wheel drive architecture but can be equipped with the optional four-wheel-drive system. Whereas, the top grade Sport is powered by the 3.5L V6 EcoBoost engine and can produce a maximum power of 365 hp at 5,500 rpm and torque of 350 lb. ft. at 3,500 rpm. Also, the top grade comes standard with the intelligent four-wheel drive architecture, and terrain management system. Whereas, it comes mated with the same six-speed auto SelectShift transmission system

Ford Explorer comes with the intact safety features and security systems. All wheels of this SUV are equipped with disc brakes, and to further elevate the braking capacity of this SUV, it comes equipped with the Anti-lock Brake system that works in synchrony with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution and Emergency Brake Assist. The EBD keeps the braking force balanced between the front and the rear wheels as per the road condition. Whereas, when you suddenly apply the brake, then EBA senses the intention and automatically enhances the brake force to stop the vehicle. Moreover, in terms of passive safety features, you’ll get the world’s first second-row inflatable seat belts, that distribute the instant force and saves the passenger from whiplash injuries. Furthermore, you’ll get dual front airbags, and side curtain airbags stretched to all the three rows.
