Jetour T2 i-DM

The Jetour T2 i-DM is the plug-in hybrid version of the T2 lifestyle off-roader, which is already on sale in the UAE car market. With the plug-in hybrid powertrain, the Jetour T2 i-DM will cater to efficiency-centric car buyers. The T2 i-DM is already on sale in China and a few Southeast Asian car markets, with the UAE, set to receive it officially before the end of the second quarter of 2025. 

In terms of design, the Jetour T2 i-DM remains unchanged over the non-hybrid version of the T2, carrying forward its upright and tall stance with design language having many squared-off elements. The rectangular front fascia of the Jetour T2 i-DM also has LED projectors with dual-slat-shaped LED DRLs around them on the corners and wide Jetour lettering across the grille, which also lights up as LED DRLs. The purposeful-looking blacked-out front bumper has LED fog lamps and additional LED DRLs.

Measuring 4,785 mm long, 2,006 mm wide and 1,875 mm tall, the Jetour T2 i-DM has an angular design language for its side profile, with the SUV having squared and flared wheel arches, 19-inch grey alloy wheels, and angular window panels. This SUV also gets a wheelbase of 2,800 mm, functional roof rails, and door-mounted rearview mirrors. The rear profile looks stylish, with longitudinal LED tail lamps and a large tailgate-mounted spare wheel, and the electrically-operated tailgate also features a small i-DM logo signifying its hybrid powertrain. 

Featuring the same dual-tone black and green theme for its artificial leather upholstery, the cabin of the Jetour T2 i-DM looks inspired by a certain Land Rover SUV, as it bears resemblance with it on the outside too. The 10.25-inch full-TFT instrument console and a large 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system make the cabin more modern in its appearance. 

The corners of the dashboard of the Jetour T2 i-DM have vertical AC vents with chrome accents, while the lower centre console has slim horizontal AC vents below the touchscreen infotainment system. The T2 i-DM also has seven driving modes – economy, standard, snow, mud, sand, rock and X, along with a rear differential lock to suit its lifestyle off-roader persona. 

The UAE-spec Jetour T2 i-DM will also get the same plug-in hybrid powertrain as the China-spec model, which is a combination of a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine, three electric motors and a lithium-ion battery. With a peak power output of 610 bhp and a peak torque output of 920 Nm, the Jetour T2 i-DM is one of the most powerful mid-size SUVs that will be available in the UAE. It also delivers a pure electric range of 208 km from its lithium-ion battery. 

Given its more sophisticated powertrain, the Jetour T2 i-DM will be positioned as the new range-topping variant of the T2, and will also be one of the most expensive mid-size SUVs in the UAE. The Jetour T2 i-DM is expected to be positioned as a relatively more affordable alternative to the other premium lifestyle off-roaders like Ford Bronco and Land Rover Defender.
