Jetour T2 Extended Debuts at Shanghai Motor Show with 7 Seats

Abu Dhabi : It comes in petrol and plug-in hybrid versions, offering both front- and all-wheel drive.

Jetour revealed the 7-seater T2 Extended SUV at the Shanghai Motor Show, offering larger dimensions, new petrol and hybrid options, and added family practicality.

Jetour T2 Extended: Bigger but Familiar

Jetour introduced a longer version of its T2 SUV, known as the Jetour T2 Extended or T2 Plus, depending on the market. While the wheelbase stays at 2,800 mm, the overall length now stretches to 5,034 mm — an increase of 249 mm — giving it a roomier appearance without affecting width (1,966 mm) or height (1,880 mm).

Ground clearance varies:

• 220 mm for the petrol version.
• 201 to 205 mm for hybrid versions (due to the underfloor battery).

Interior Changes: Family-Focused

Inside, the Jetour T2 Extended gains a third-row bench, making it a better choice for families. Although best suited for children or short trips, the third row folds flat for bigger luggage needs. Key cargo facts are:

• Maximum cargo capacity: 1,653 litres.
• Handy features like built-in handles for carrying small items.
• Dashboard and front cabin remain unchanged from the standard T2.

Engine Options: Petrol and Two Hybrids

Jetour offers three engine choices:

• 2.0L turbo engine.

• 254 hp, 390 Nm.

• 8-speed automatic transmission.

• Top speed: 190 km/h.

• Base hybrid (FWD):

• 1.5L turbo engine + electric motor.

• 224 hp, 390 Nm total.

• 26.7 kWh battery.

• Electric-only range: 120 km.

• Top speed: 203 km/h.

• Full hybrid (AWD):

• Rear electric motor added.

• 462 hp, 700 Nm total.

• 43.24 kWh battery.

• Electric-only range: 206 km.

• Top speed: 200 km/h.

Availability in UAE

Currently, the Jetour T2 Extended is available only in China. However, considering Jetour’s fast-growing presence in the Middle East, including the UAE, it is highly possible the T2 Extended could land here soon.

The new Jetour T2 Extended smartly builds on the success of the standard T2, offering a family-friendly third row, multiple powertrains, and strong off-road credentials.
