Citroen reveals the all-new C5 Aircross concept

ABU DHABI: Citroën has taken the wrap off the all-new C5 Aircross ahead of the Paris Motor Show 2024 in concept form. This concept boasts a sharp and bold design that captivates attention with its modern aesthetics and dynamic lines. It is also incorporated with design elements that will remind you of the latest models of Citroën available in global markets, highlighting the evolving style of the brand. The concept reflects the brand’s commitment to innovation and the spirit to maintain the signature Citroën flair.

The C5 Aircross Concept boasts an aerodynamic yet modern design that seems to be inspired by the Citroën Oli concept that was previewed in 2022. The plug-in hybrid variant prioritizes efficiency and interior space and in comparison to its predecessor provides a greater electric-only range. For the production model, the concept previews design elements set to debut next year, including a flatter sculpting, a lower nose, and a sharply raked roofline. Other additions include a three-point light signature, Citroën’s new logo, and simplified rear and front ends. The concept at the rear showcases floating lights called Light Wings that enhance airflow.

The dimensions of this family-friendly SUV are 4.65 meters in length, making it 150 mm longer than the previous generation. For production, a few of the aspects of the concept will be toned down like the ultra-thin LED taillights and the greenhouse design.

The new C5 Aircross is based on the latest STLA Medium platform of Stellantis, allowing for the first time for an all-electric version. Along with the electric variant, a hybrid option and combustion engine will also be offered.
