There is no need for a plug-in power cord, as the batteries in the new Camry gets automatically charged via the petrol engine and, during the decelerating and braking process. The hybrid electric drivetrain in the Camry HEV is mated to an electronically controlled Continuously Variable Transmission (e-CVT) and produces a maximum power of 211 PS. Delivering best-in-class driver’s engagement, it simulates a six-speed sequential transmission and executes a quick yet smooth gear shift.
