2026 Toyota RAV4 Unwrapped With Electrified Power and Bold New Design

Abu Dhabi : Toyota has revealed the all-new 2026 RAV4, as it offers electrified powertrains, smart tech, and bold styling made specifically for modern drivers.

• The new RAV4 is fully electrified with hybrid and plug-in hybrid options.
• It has three distinct themes of design: Core, Rugged, and Sport.
• There are new tech features like a 12.3-inch digital cluster and Arene software.
• The platform has been upgraded with a towing capacity of up to 3,500 lbs.

Toyota has officially unveiled the sixth-generation 2026 RAV4 — a model that takes a bold leap forward with electrified powertrains, smart digital features, and three strong styling personalities.

The new Toyota RAV4, which is one of America’s best-selling SUVs, reasserts its dominance in a changing automotive world, as it offers buyers a choice that blends performance, comfort, and modern tech.

Distinct Styles for Every Driver

Toyota has reshaped the RAV4 into three visually distinct themes:

• Core design: It is available in trims like LE, XLE, and Limited, and features a refined stance and the signature hammerhead grille from Toyota.
• Rugged design: The new standalone Woodland grade brings raised ground clearance, roof rails, all-terrain tyres, LED off-road lighting, and standard AWD.
• Sport design: The GR SPORT trim highlights a motorsport feel, which offers 20-inch wheels, sporty spoilers, GR-tuned suspension, and a PHEV-only powertrain.

Electrified Powertrains Only

The RAV4 now comes exclusively as a Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) or Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV). The HEV includes Toyota’s 5th-gen hybrid system and it delivers up to 236 hp with AWD and 226 hp with FWD.

The PHEV goes even further, as it produces 320 hp, up to 50 miles of electric-only driving, and faster charging on selected grades. AWD is standard on the PHEV models, including trims that focus on performance, like GR SPORT and XSE.

Platform and Performance Enhancements

The 2026 RAV4 is built on the TNGA-K platform. This new foundation improves structural strength, reduces noise and vibrations, and provides better ride quality. What contributes to a more premium feel on the road are the enhanced suspension points and damping materials.

Towing is also improved, with AWD HEV and PHEV models supporting up to 3,500 lbs. FWD and base AWD trims can handle up to 1,750 lbs, which is ideal for weekend trips in the Emirates or water sports equipment.

Interior Tech and Comfort

Toyota has upgraded the cabin with features like a 12.3-inch digital instrument display as standard. Buyers can choose between a 10.5-inch or a new 12.9-inch center screen powered by Toyota’s Audio Multimedia system.

To raise the bar, there are features like shift-by-wire, wireless Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto™, and smart storage. Upper trims offer extras like JBL audio, head-up display, sporty paddle shifters, or bold orange accents, depending on the variant.

New Software and Safety

Toyota debuts its Arene software platform to power the infotainment and the new Toyota Safety Sense 4.0 suite. This includes updated sensors, smarter driver aids, voice recognition, dual Bluetooth pairing, and over-the-air updates, all to set the stage for software-defined vehicles.
