Smart Tech and Driving Assistance

XPILOT ASSIST uses 33 perception hardware units and VLA 2.0, with parking assist as standard, 14 active safety functions and over-the-air updates. XPENG notes that some features depend on regulatory approval and the market.
Safety
XPENG says the G9L was developed to the Euro NCAP 2027 five-star standard, with 62 types of crash tests covered. The body uses 16,000-tonne integrated die casting, and nine airbags come standard, with an extra one for the zero-gravity seat.
What This Means for UAE Buyers
The G9L's UAE launch date, pricing, trims and local specifications are not yet announced, and XPENG says all figures are subject to type approval. Still, the range-extender option suits long-distance drives, and our report on battery health after two years in UAE heat shows why that flexibility matters. If you need a seven-seater hybrid right now, the JAECOO J8 SHS is already on sale.
