XPENG Kunpeng Range Extender Debuts in the GCC: 1,585 km Range for the GX and a Six-Country Tour

Dubai: XPENG has brought its Kunpeng Range Extender technology to the GCC for the first time. It was shown at a media workshop in the Dubai showroom on 6 October 2026. XPENG also kicked off the Grand Xplore Tour, where the flagship GX will cross the region to prove itself on real roads.

Why a Range Extender Suits GCC Roads

Long intercity drives and summer heat above 45°C are normal here. The charging network is also still growing. XPENG says a range-extended EV fits this well. You get the smooth feel of an EV, the reach of a large fuel tank and ultra-fast charging. Its motto is "electric in the city, fuel on the highway".
