Omoda X to be Unveiled with Super Hybrid and AI Valet Parking at Global Summit

Chery will debut the new OMODA X crossover at its global summit in China this October, alongside a 5-kWh hybrid system.

Chery International's OMODA & JAECOO brand will reveal the new OMODA X crossover at its International User Summit in Wuhu, China. Scheduled for October 18-24, 2026, the event doubles as the global launch platform for the model and a suite of hybrid and artificial intelligence technologies.

The Summit Debut

During OMODA X Night, a key event within the week-long summit, the OMODA X will get its global premiere. The summit runs under the theme 'DRIVE TO THE NEXT VIBE'. Three activities are planned: the OMODA X Night unveiling, an OMODA Super Hybrid Marathon, and a Super Intelligent Experience Lab. Sports-SUV Design Philosophy

The OMODA X combines sports-car styling cues with the bulkier proportions of a traditional SUV, a deliberate crossover of references. Personalisation features throughout, with the design pitched at buyers looking for something beyond standard utility. The overall direction skews style-led rather than purely functional. 5-kWh Super Hybrid System

At the summit, OMODA will showcase its Super Hybrid system, built around a 5-kWh battery. The Super Hybrid Marathon will serve as the live demonstration. Full powertrain specifications have not been released. The 5-kWh battery points to more advanced hybrid hardware in future models.

AI and Autonomous Features

Alongside the new vehicle and hybrid system, OMODA & JAECOO will present several new AI-driven features. Super Intelligent Valet Parking (SIVP) handles parking manoeuvres through intelligent assisted functions. Inside, the Super Intelligent AI Space (SIAS) uses artificial intelligence to personalise the cabin environment, setting it next to the JAECOO 7's existing interior and the jump in ambition is clear. On the robotics side, the AiMOGA intelligent ecosystem includes two units: the Mornine humanoid robot and the Argos quadruped robot.

Omoda's UAE Footprint

OMODA & JAECOO has been expanding its UAE presence alongside these product announcements. Cumulative vehicle deliveries in the UAE are expected to surpass 6,000 units by the end of September 2026, supported by a growing dealership network across the region. CEO Shawn Xu describes the brand's goal as creating vehicles that become an "integral part of customers' lifestyles." Crossing 6,000 UAE deliveries by September 2026 is a number that backs that ambition up.
