XPeng X9 electric MVP launched in Dubai, starting from AED 297,000

XPeng launched its flagship X9 MPV in the UAE on 24 August 2026. Gulf Star Motors, an Ali & Sons subsidiary, prices it from AED 297,000. Standard kit includes seven seats, a large cabin, and active agility features for city driving.

Launch and availability

XPeng launched the X9 on 24 August 2026. Gulf Star Motors handles distribution exclusively, with showrooms in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The UAE entry price is AED 297,000.

Electric platform and agility

The X9 runs on a dedicated electric-battery platform. Active Rear-Wheel Steering is now standard across the range,  if you've been parking any large MPV in Dubai Marina, you'll know how much a 5.4-metre turning radius changes the daily experience. It cuts the turning radius to 5.4 metres on a vehicle 5.3m long, covering shopping mall car parks, marina access roads and anywhere width is limited.

The X9 hits 0-100 km/h in 5.9 seconds. XPeng claims up to 615 km of WLTP range on a full charge, and twelve minutes takes the battery from 10% to 80% via ultra-fast charging. Active Rear-Wheel Steering on a 5.3-metre MPV is the spec that earns its keep daily.

Seven-seat space and comfort

XPeng's X9 puts a 7.7 square-metre cabin on a completely flat floor across three rows and seven seats. The second row has two individual Zero-Gravity captain seats called Cloud-sense Seat 3.0 by XPeng, with 14-way power adjustment each. The Kia Carnival sits in the same broad segment, but its rear-seat package doesn't reach this level of individual attention.

Rear passengers get a 21.4-inch entertainment screen and a built-in refrigerator, with audio through 27 custom HiFi speakers. Up front, a 17.3-inch central control screen uses a Snapdragon 8295 chip and runs the Tianji XOS operating system. The body is a 2000MPa high-strength steel cage with nine airbags, targeting E-NCAP 5-Star standards. Nine airbags as standard is the detail that matters most here.

Market position for UAE families

Affluent families weighing an electric switch without sacrificing space or premium features are the target. Seven seats, advanced comfort technology, and a sub-AED 300,000 entry point. Rear passengers get the same technology stack as the driver, the 21.4-inch screen and refrigerator, which gives the X9 a distinct position in the UAE's premium EV segment.
