Renault UAE adds a new Megane GT variant in its lineup

ABU DHABI: Renault UAE likes to keep it fresh and interesting for the buyers either by exciting offers or upgrading its lineup. This time around, seeing the market appetite for powerful and sporty cars, Renault added a new GT trim to the already packed Megane variant list - PE, SE, LE, and LE+.

Unlike the ongoing Megane trims, this new GT model stands high on style, performance, feature, and price front. While the non-GT trims are available with a starting price of AED 62,895, the new Megane variant holds an AED 1,07,900 price tag. Compensating its higher price are abundance of features that work together ensuring excellent driving pleasure along with unique technological assistance.

Offered in hatchback body-style (a shift from the originally offered sedan version), the new Megane GT variant mirrors the styling of its elder siblings. Renault has polished the safety spec, as the GT variant now features dual front and curtain airbags, Anti-Lock Braking System, Emergency Brake Assist, Blind Spot Warning, and tyre pressure monitoring.

Powering the new Megane GT is a Tce 205 engine that generates a maximum power of 206 PS along with a peak torque of 280 Nm. The said mill is paired with a 7-speed automatic EDC dual clutch transmission and displays a top speed of 233 kmph with the capacity to reach 100 kmph in 7.1 seconds.

Available in seven exterior color choices - Mercury, Comet Grey, Starry Black, Pearl White, Iron Blue, Steel Blue, and Flame Red, this time around, Renault UAE is using the digital medium for sale. Prospective buyers can now reserve the Megane GT online by paying a security deposit of AED 500. Post the deposit, the car would be delivered to the showroom (where the order is signed in-person after raising the online request) in 2 to 3 weeks.
