Renault Megane

Renault has re-introduced its premium Megane with some minor and essential upgrades. This sedan is available in three trims PE, SE, and LE. The base variant PE can be equipped with a 1.6L CVT engine or 2.0L CVT engine. And the mid-trim SE comes standard with 2.0L CVT engine, whereas the top trim LE comes standard with 1.6L CVT engine, this engine can produce a maximum power of 115hp at 5,500rpm and torque of 156Nm at 4,000rpm. And can attain the top speed of 180km/hr. Whereas the 2.0L engine can produce a maximum power of 140hp at 6,000rpm and torque of 193Nm at 3,750rpm and can attain the top speed of 209km/hr. 

Now, coming to the exteriors of Megane, the base variant gives you plenty of standard features, and in this trim, you’ll get LED indicators with highway function, LED daytime running lights with 3D effects, fog lights, chrome exhaust tailpipe, body-coloured door handles, chrome window weatherstrips. Whereas, in addition to these features, the mid-trim comes equipped with body colour door handles with chrome finish, automatic headlamps and automatic rain-sensing wipers. In addition to these, the top trim LE offers you electric demisting door mirrors with puddle lamps, electric trunk access by foot detection under bumper, welcome sequence when approaching the vehicle with lighting signature illumination, ground lighting, interior lighting, and door mirrors unfolding. 

The interior of Megane comprises of many standard features, such as in the base variant you’ll get height-adjustable front/rear headrests, manual air conditioning with particle filter and rear air ducts that are fitted under front passenger and driver seats, front central storage console with armrest, one-touch electric front and rear windows, electric demisting door mirrors, height-adjustable driver seat with lumbar support, foam steering wheel. Also, the base variant comes with standard Bluetooth radio with voice recognition, USB and jack sockets, 4.2-inch multimedia display, and 4 speaker system. Whereas in addition to these features, in the mid-trim you’ll get an air conditioner with dual-zone climate control with toxicity sensor and rear air vents installed in the back of centre console, leather steering wheel, 7-inch capacitive screen, 8-speaker sound system with 3D effects by Arkamys, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. 

And, in the top trim LE, in addition to the above features you’ll get rear centre armrest with cupholders, illumination on sun visors, front and rear LED cabin lights, front and rear door panel ambient lighting, and 7-inch TFT touchscreen. 

Renault has equipped Megane with best in class safety features, and some safety and security features are standard from the base variant, and many of them can be equipped in mid, and top trim. 

The base variant comes standard with central locking, adaptive driver and passenger airbags, anti-lock braking system, electronic stability program with hill start assist. And SE comes with cruise control with speed limiter, rear parking sensors, Renault smart card with walk-away closing. Whereas LE comes with lateral pelvis/chest-level airbags for driver and front-seat passenger, front and rear curtain head airbags, blind-spot warning, unstable trajectory alert (drowsiness alert), and front and rear parking sensors. 

All such features and engine specification makes Megane one of the best sedan, along with this, it offers plenty of space for passengers that make riding long trips convenient. And, with its attractive exterior design that comprises of long rear taillights, C shaped LED daytime running lights, the looks of this sedan further extends to an extraordinary level.
