UAE gets the new 2019 Lexus ES

ABU DHABI: The all-new Lexus ES has landed on the shores of the UAE. A sedan that has ruled the hearts of the people in the Gulf with unmatched comfort, style and refinement, is here to continue to impress. The 2019 Lexus ES gets a refreshed look accompanied by a set of modern-day technologies.

In addition to being a superior model, the seventh-gen Lexus ES adds two new variants in its line-up, including the ES 350 F-Sport and the hybrid ES 300h. The former model gets a bolder stance along with a retuned suspension for a thrilling experience.

While the exteriors are flamboyant, the colours it wears are tremendous too. The Sunlight Green and Ice Ecru are the two new colours for the all-new ES model while the F-Sport variant gets White Nova and Heat Blue as its exclusive shades.

Mohamed Maktari, the managing director of Al-Futtaim Lexus said, “The Lexus ES is the leading sedan in our line-up and one that constitutes over 70% of our sedan car sales. With the introduction of the new electrified variant, we expect the sales to spike as all institutions and individuals accelerate their efforts to reach the sustainability targets set by the UAE Government’s Vision 2021.”

Built on the new G-K platform, the Lexus ES uses high tensile steel that is solid and safer than before. It comes with a multi-link rear suspension design, a V-Brace at the rearseat’s back and an avant-garde electronic power steering. Something that’s exclusive inside the cabin is the 12.3-inch multimedia display with a remote touchpad control. It comes with voice recognition and smartphone connectivity features.

The ES 350 comes with a 3.5-litre engine with a power bump that’s rated at 306PS along with a healthy torque of 362Nm. While being offered with the same front-wheel-drive system, it gets a new 8-speed automatic transmission.

The ES 300h, on the other hand, is a combination of the 2.4-litre engine with an electric motor and a battery pack that produces 218PS of power. It comes with the ability to return a fuel economy of 24.1 kmpl and travel 1,205 Kms on a full gasoline tank.

As far as pricing is concerned, the ES 350 is priced at AED 185,000 and the fully-loaded hybrid ES at AED 250,000.
