Smart #3 makes a bold statement at Auto Shanghai 2023

ABU DHABI: Auto Shanghai 2023 is China’s largest motor show, wherein the biggest automotive brands showcase new flagship models. Smart #3 was unveiled at the show recently, and it stunned everyone with its futuristic design. 

The #3 is the first-ever sports utility coupe by Smart. It has an elegant and vibrant body and shares the design philosophy with the #1. At the front, CyberSparks LED headlights have been paired with A-shape wide grille and distinctive “shark nose”. On the sides, the car exudes a sporty fastback silhouette. The rear fender and C-pillar combined with the bumper create a modern curvature. 

The Smart #3 comes equipped with various features, such as a Halo glass roof, sporty headrests, multi-colored ambient lights and a 12.8-inch elevated central screen. 

Furthermore, it will be offered in exciting and new colors, including a futuristic Electric Blue Matte and vibrant Photon Orange Metallic exterior and a Vibrant Brown interior variant.  

The #3 will ride on the same SEA platform from Geely that underpins the Smart #1. It is expected to get two powertrain options - a dual and single-motor setup delivering 268 hp or 152 hp, respectively.

Smart Europe CEO quoted, “We are proud to finally present our first ever sports utility coupé, the all-new Smart #3, to the world. As an all-electric pioneer, smart is committed to the uncompromising quality of experience and interactions.”

The sales of the Smart #3 is estimated to start in markets where the brand operates later this year. The pricing information will be announced closer to the launch. 

The company has not revealed whether Smart #3 will be launched in the UAE.
