Porsche unveils interior of next-gen Panamera ahead of debut

ABU DHABI: The German automobile manufacturer Porsche has unveiled the interior of the third-generation Panamera sports sedan, scheduled for its global launch on November 24. 

The cabin of the Panamera largely features screens, as in the new Taycan and Cayenne. It follows the "Driver Experience" control approach that was initially used in the Porsche Taycan. All the driver controls are clustered together, and you can easily use them.

The dashboard design of the new Panamera is streamlined with a flowing center console design. The most significant update has been done in the technology department, including a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12.6-inch digital instrument cluster, and an optional 10.9-inch passenger display. The passenger screen helps the front passenger access all the available functions. An all-digital driver's display has been introduced in place of the 12.6-inch digital instrument cluster with multiple view options. A centrally located touchscreen lets the driver control media, ambient lighting, and navigation.

The third-generation Panamera is equipped with a central AC vent and cleaner haptic controls that can be operated electrically. The gear selector has taken the shape of a toggle. It has been moved between the infotainment system and the dashboard, creating space for additional storage. 

The new Panamera comes with leather-free upholstery combining Pepita and Race-Tex fabric. A next-gen steering wheel has been integrated with driver-centric functions, including an optional head-up display, toggle switches for digital instrument cluster navigation, and the drive mode selector.

The Panamera will get an updated petrol powertrains range, with updated software and extensively altered exhaust systems to satisfy Euro 7 emissions rules.
