Cadillac CT5 V

The cabin of the 2024 Cadillac CT5-V is spacious and premium. The seats and upholstery are made of soft leather with racy contrast stitching. There's a matte-black switchgear, simulated carbon-fibre trim, and stainless-steel speaker grille. The polished aluminium accents look and feel great. But the open-pore wood is paired with inexpensive-looking plastic. The biggest change is to the dashboard's top half. It's almost entirely revamped. The earlier driver information display and the small 10-inch screen have been replaced with a new, massive 33.0-inch digital display sourced from the Cadillac Lyriq. The high-res colour touchscreen gets 9k resolution and is curved towards the driver. Cargo space at 11.9cft remains the same as the outgoing model. A 15-speaker Bose Performance Series surround-audio system is standard across all models. 

The 2024 Cadillac CT5-V has an upscale and sporty appearance. The Cadillac vocabulary sits very well on the CT5-V. It isn't the largest midsized sedan out there. In fact, it's smaller than most of its luxury competitors. But at the same time, the composed size helps the 2024 Cadillac CT5-V reinforce an air of agility. The car gets a redesigned front and back. The front fascia is now more in line with the sporty fastback profile. It includes stacked LED headlights with distinctive vertical lighting. The front grille is larger than the earlier model. Back then, it was less than a major overhaul. The dual-exhaust outlets get different configurations. A rear spoiler comes as standard. The options list includes a power sunroof, gloss black accents, monochrome emblems, and a bright or black chrome grille. The Cadillac CT5-V has two new colours: lime typhoon metallic and deep space metallic. Other colour schemes remain unchanged. All models get 19-inch alloy wheels.

The 2024 Cadillac CT5-V gets 18-way power-adjustable front sport seats. This makes finding a comfortable driving position behind the powered tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel easy. All seats are nicely padded and get lumbar support. Getting into the front seats is easy. However, though the 2024 Cadillac CT5-V has a roomy rear seat to accommodate two adults, entry and exit are a bit of a challenge. The doors aren't large, but the seat has generous side bolsters that impede departure from the car. There's a lot of legroom on the rear seat. Taller passengers may find the headroom short because of the stooping roofline. The car gets a performance-tuned adaptive damping suspension. Bumps and potholes are nicely absorbed.     

The 2024 Cadillac CT5-V standard model is hauled by a turbocharged, six-cylinder, 3.0-litre petrol engine that produces 360 PS/550 Nm. The motor is mated to a 10-speed automatic. The car comes with Tour, Snow/Ice, Sport, and MyMode driving modes. Driving the 2024 Cadillac CT5-V is a very relaxed experience. Engine, road, suspension, and exhaust noise do enter the cabin, denting the car's premium appeal. But the CT5-V is still quick, responsive, and provides athletic handling

The 2024 Cadillac CT5-V comes with a head-up display, high-def surround-view cameras, performance data recorder, and a surround-view recorder system. The optional Super Cruise package includes a hands-free Level 2 semi-autonomous drive-assistance system. It pairs adaptive cruise control with lane-change assist. Other standard equipment includes blind-spot monitoring, parking sensors, and automatic reverse braking. Overall, the 2024 Cadillac CT5-V is a feature-packed car.  

The 2024 Cadillac CT5-V starts at AED 261,000. It's a good car but could be better with some extra refinement, which would, of course, push the price higher. The CT5-V has distinctive styling and offers comfortable riding. It's packed with easy-to-use technology. It's a premium sedan for those who can afford it.
