Cadillac ESCALADE IQ

Cabin

One of the big strengths of the Escalade has been its huge cabin, and the amount of space makes it popular among large families that always want room for people and luggage. And so the seven-passenger seating across three rows carries over from the combustion Escalade, built around actual adult usability in all three rows rather than a token third row. The Air Ride Adaptive Suspension and Magnetic Ride Control come standard, tuned to smooth out the mixed road surfaces found across the UAE.

AKG audio scales from a 21-speaker setup up to a 38- or 42-speaker system in higher grades, a wide spread that reflects how much the audio experience varies across the range. Four-wheel steering comes standard, helping manage the Escalade IQ's considerable length in tighter spaces. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard, syncing automatically the moment the driver's phone is detected inside the cabin.

Front Seat

• Premium materials and seating standard across all trims
• Air Ride Adaptive Suspension standard
• Magnetic Ride Control standard
• 4-Wheel Steer standard, aiding manoeuvrability

The front-seat comfort benefits directly from the standard air suspension; it is worth noting how much smoother this feels than a steel-sprung SUV over Dubai's rougher back roads. The heated and ventilated front seats come standard across every trim.

Rear Seat

• Three rows of seating, standard, seven-passenger capacity
• Flat floor throughout, a benefit of the EV platform
• Reasonable third-row space for a properly large SUV
• AKG speaker count scales up with trim and package

The flat floor that comes with the EV platform gives the second and third rows more usable space than a combustion Escalade with a transmission tunnel running through the middle. The second-row captain's chairs, where fitted, add a touch of extra comfort for chauffeured passengers. This is a configuration buyers moving from the combustion Escalade's Executive Second Row package will find familiar.

Climate Control

As you would expect, automatic climate control is standard across all three rows. Pre-conditioning of the cabin while still plugged in is available, a plainly useful feature for cooling the Escalade IQ down. The rear passengers across all three rows get their own dedicated vents, keeping the cabin comfortable from front to back, even on a longer family trip toward Al Ain.

Storage

• Dual wireless charging pads in the front console
• Storage bins throughout the centre console for phones and small items
• Door pockets across all three rows

Charging

• USB-C ports fitted in every row
• 110-volt household-style outlets available
• Dual wireless charging pads are standard in the front console

Storage

• Up to 3,374 litres of cargo space with the rear rows folded
• eTrunk adds further storage beneath the front bonnet
• A flat-floor design aids loading bulkier items
• Space scales up significantly with rear rows folded

The eTrunk is a properly useful addition unique to the electric platform, providing extra dedicated storage that a combustion Escalade simply does not have. It is ideally sized for a soft weekend bag or the charging cable, keeping it separate from the main cargo area so bulkier items in the boot stay easier to reach.

This is the top-end, full-size SUV segment, and safety is a big area for buyers. Cadillac has equipped the Escalade IQ with its Smart System suite and Super Cruise hardware, but the hands-free driving service remains inactive in the UAE.

• Emergency braking is included as part of the standard Smart System suite
• Intelligent alerts and parking assistance included
• Vehicle monitoring through OnStar Protect
• Super Cruise hardware fitted standard; hands-free service coming soon in the UAE
• Stolen vehicle assistance available
• 4-Wheel Steer aids control at both low and high speeds

You must know clearly that Super Cruise hardware being fitted does not mean the hands-free feature is usable on UAE roads today, pending regulatory approval. The standard 360-degree camera system is especially useful given the Escalade IQ's considerable width, providing a top-down view that makes reversing into a tight bay much easier.

Front

As you stand in front of the SUV, there is a giant, closed-off, illuminated grille panel that spans the width of the nose, something Cadillac has made a signature for its EV range, with a light bar running edge to edge that gives the Escalade IQ an unmistakable night-time presence on Sheikh Zayed Road. The lighting sequence that greets the driver on approach is a small touch of appeal that suits a top-end SUV.

Side Profile

At 5,697 mm long on a 3,460 mm wheelbase, the Escalade IQ is clearly a huge SUV, with a width of 2,389 mm including mirrors and a height of 1,933 mm. A tall glasshouse and a nearly flat roofline keep the shape quite imposing and not necessarily sporty. This mirrors the combustion Escalade's dimensions despite the different platform underneath.

Alloy Wheels

The 24-inch wheels come standard across the range, a first for the Escalade, sized to match the SUV's considerable dimensions and to house the brakes needed to bring this much weight to a stop.

Rear

At the rear is a full-width LED light bar that wraps around the tailgate, matching the front's lighting signature, with an eTrunk beneath it that provides useful additional storage behind the conventional cargo area. When you stand behind the Escalade IQ, the sheer width of the light bar is a clear visual reminder that this is a full-size SUV. The eTrunk's release is accessible from inside the cabin as well as via a button on the panel itself, adding a layer of convenience over having to walk around to open it manually.

Colors

The 2026 Escalade IQ offers nine exterior colours, most of which are available in a single tone or paired with a contrasting black roof for a two-tone finish.

• Black Raven (standard, no additional cost)
• Black Cherry Tintcoat
• Deep Space Metallic
• Luna Metallic
• Sandstone
• Vibrant White Tricoat
• Monarch Orange (Sport and Premium Sport trims only)
• Adobe Frost (luxury and Premium Luxury trims only, matte finish)
• Magnus Metal Frost (all trims, matte finish)

City Performance

• When you reverse the Escalade IQ into a tight bay at Dubai Marina Mall, four-wheel steering does something a full-size SUV of this shape finds very tough: the rear wheels turn opposite the fronts at low speed, and the effective turning circle shrinks enough that a move a driver would normally set up, for takes one smooth motion instead.
• Getting ahead at a junction on Jumeirah Beach Road, the instant torque means there is no moment of hesitation waiting for anything to build; the car simply goes the instant the foot moves.
• None of that changes the basic reality that this is a 5.7-metre SUV; tight residential streets in older parts of Deira still demand real attention. Four-wheel steering narrows the margin for error; it does not remove it.

Highway Performance

• Heading north toward Ras Al Khaimah, Velocity Max makes an overtake on the coastal stretch past Umm Al Quwain feel almost unfair; it's a wall of torque that closes distance faster than the scenery outside suggests it should.
• The 350 kW charging speed changes the calculus on a trip like this in a way slower-charging EVs cannot match.
• A stop timed around a coffee break adds back enough range that the return leg barely needs planning.
• Also, the cabin is hushed, as you expect; even if you go over 140 km/h, there is no engine to mask road and wind noise, so the fact that both stay within limits says plenty about how much work went into sealing the cabin.

Ride and Handling

• This is an area where the Escalade IQ is extremely comfortable and agile despite the size, and it's great fun to drive, no matter the terrain.
• For example, run it along the coast road toward Khor Fakkan, and the combination of Air Ride and Magnetic Ride Control shows why this suspension setup matters more here than almost anywhere else in the lineup.
• Normally, one would assume the weight of the battery pack could easily turn every dip and crest into a lurching mess, but that is not the case; rather, the SUV settles almost immediately after each one.
• The four-wheel steering keeps the tighter switchbacks along that same coastal route from feeling like a three-point turn waiting to happen, while the rear axle does quiet work that most drivers will never consciously notice.
• Also, you would immediately know that braking hard from highway speed is the one moment the weight makes itself known; this remains a heavy vehicle regardless of what powers it.

The Escalade IQ in the UAE is available in four trims: Luxury, Sport, Premium Luxury, and Premium Sport.

Luxury

This is the base variant, offering entry into the Escalade IQ range. What you get is the full 750 hp dual-motor setup, 24-inch wheels, and Air Ride Adaptive Suspension as standard. This could be a perfect fit for those who want the Escalade IQ's core electric performance and space without the higher-tier audio and feature packages.

Sport

A step above the base variant, the Sport gets sportier styling cues and trim-specific detailing for buyers who want a slightly more athletic look without stepping up to the Premium grades.

Premium Luxury

Here, you get a higher-specification AKG audio system and additional comfort and convenience features over the Luxury trim, good for anyone willing to pay extra for a fully equipped cabin experience.

Premium Sport

And this is the top-end, with all the luxury and features Cadillac has on offer in the UAE. Expectedly, it is the most fully equipped grade, combining Sport's styling with Premium Luxury's expanded feature set, including the top AKG audio configuration. If you want nothing but the most luxurious experience, pay the premium to get the most complete version of the Escalade IQ.

Zigwheels Recommendation

Between the four available options in the UAE, the best choices are either Luxury or Sport. The reasons are pretty obvious, as both variants cover the Escalade IQ's core strengths well: the powertrain, range, cabin space, comfort, and safety you would need, without losing anything considerable. And you can save a lot of money by not going for the top end without giving up performance.

Interestingly enough, if you look carefully, going electric has not cost the Escalade IQ a single thing. The size and presence are unchanged, but the power and performance are now significantly better. This is a huge feat to achieve, and Cadillac seems to have done it rather well.

What changes are the measurement, kilowatt-hours instead of litres, and a frunk that provides a truly useful space where an engine used to be positioned. The range and charging figures are strong enough that range anxiety is no longer a concern; it becomes one about preference.

Perhaps the only gap is Super Cruise. This is not a brand issue, as the hardware is installed and dormant, waiting on infrastructure that the UAE has not yet completed.

And so it makes a compelling package right at the top of the market, with size, power, and driving dynamics befitting this legendary SUV.
