Kia has announced the full details of its new EV4 electric car. The C-segment electric sedan brings together modern know-how and fresh design. It offers more space inside alongside the latest tech features, providing a high-quality electric car driving experience. This is Kia’s first EV sedan designed for global markets, which marks a new step for the Korean brand in the electric car segment.
It will go on sale globally in the second half of 2025, with a four-door model for clients in Korea and North America and a five-door model for those in Europe.
Exterior Styling
The Kia EV4 comes with dynamic contours and standard LED lighting systems that offer a contemporary look. The optional Intelligent Front-Lighting System (IFS) technology complements the driving experience and safety. Small cube projection lamps and Total internal reflection low-beam modules are examples of additional lighting advances.

The EV4 features a floating tail light pattern and optional Dynamic Escort and Welcome Lights designed specially for markets outside of North America. EV4 is available in three different versions. In the US, you can find the Light, Wind, and GT-Line models. In Europe, the same car is offered as Air, Earth, and GT-Line.
Interior Comfort and Tech - Setting new standards
The Kia EV4 features a contemporary cabin having a sliding table, ambient lighting, and a dedicated Rest Mode. The ultra-slim layout of the front seatbacks enhances legroom for passengers in the second row.
The HVAC system has a unified touchscreen interface, ultra-slim air vents, and a slim-profile design that cuts down the structural volume by 33 per cent. Especially for the EV4, Kia has unveiled a cutting-edge infotainment system that provides excellent entertainment, connectivity, and convenience.
The EV4 is equipped with a 6-speaker audio system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and an optional 8-speaker Harman Kardon premium audio system. Other key convenience elements inside include Advanced speech recognition, Digital Key 2.0, over-the-air updates, Features-on-Demand and many more.

Powertrain and Performance
Hyundai Motor Group's dependable, specialised Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) serves as the foundation for the EV4. The EV4's sophisticated 400-volt architecture all perfectly balances strong performance, a very efficient range, and quick charging periods.
The EV4 sedan and hatchback come with two different drivetrain options. The Long Range variant has an 81.4 kWh battery, whilst the Standard model has a 58.3 kWh battery. For quick, seamless acceleration, both are coupled with a 150kW front-wheel drive motor that produces 283 Nm of max torque.
Additionally, it comes with the brand's first-in-class i-Pedal 3.0 regenerative braking system. This technology allows drivers even more flexibility to modify the car's regenerative braking strength and experience intuitive one-pedal driving.
Kia's second-generation Integrated Electric Booster (IEB) handles braking, and for extra convenience, an Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) is included on all trim levels.
