All-new 2026 Chevrolet Cruze Returns with a Modern Twist!

Abu Dhabi : The mid-sized sedan inspired by the Chinese Monza now features a stunning look and comes with multiple engine options.

After years of absence, Chevrolet has officially announced the return of the Cruze to many Middle Eastern markets. The news came through the "Chevrolet Arabia" Instagram page. The new model features a fresh design inspired by the Chinese Monza and is set to appeal to customers seeking a stylish, compact sedan with modern features and a good price.

Exterior styling

The latest Chevrolet Cruze showcases a more striking, confident look. Official images of the Chinese Monza, which is expected to be similar to the Gulf version, reveal a bold front end. It has a large, wide grille, sleek LED headlamps, and sleek lines along the sides that lend it a commanding presence on the road.

At the back, the design is simpler, with horizontal taillights that stretch across the rear. The car is likely to come with 16- or 17-inch wheels, depending on the trim level. Overall, the new Cruze presents a fresh, modern style that stands out easily.

Expected engine and equipment

In the Chinese market, the Chevrolet Monza comes with three engine options. Buyers can choose a 1.0-liter turbocharged engine producing 125 hp, available with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission. 

Then there is also a 1.3-liter mild-hybrid turbo unit producing 163 hp, paired with a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The third choice is a 1.5-liter engine with 113 hp, which can be paired with either a CVT or a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission, depending on the trim level.

Many features come standard on the Monza. These include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Additional features are a rearview camera, parking sensors, keyless entry with push-button start, multiple airbags, and basic safety systems.

Launch date and expected price

Chevrolet has not yet announced an official launch date for the Monza. However, the car’s return is hinted at on the Chevrolet Arabia website, suggesting it could be revealed in the Middle East in the coming weeks or months. Pricing and other details will follow soon.

For the Middle East, the brand also announced the launch of the 2026 Groove compact SUV. The new Chevrolet Groove will have a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine paired with a CVT automatic transmission. The 2026 Groove boasts a new look, a distinctive grille and a restyled bumper. The RS version adds a dual-tone roof along with special wheels and black accents. 

Inside, the new Groove features a 10.25-inch touchscreen, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, black leatherette seats, and a split rear seat function that divides the row 60:40.
