Abu Dhabi : Lexus has upgraded its all-electric RZ SUV for 2026 with more performance, better range, and bold new looks. 

• A new 408 hp RZ 550e F SPORT AWD has joined the lineup.
• There is an improved charging with a faster onboard AC system.

Lexus has taken its flagship electric SUV, the RZ, to new heights for the 2026 model year. The updated RZ, with more power, smarter features, and upgrades in design, is a clear sign that Lexus is now focusing on premium electric mobility for the long term.

The RZ, which the brand originally launched in 2023 as its first global BEV, now returns with enhancements across the board to meet the growing demand in markets like the UAE.

Meet the RZ 550e F SPORT AWD: Performance Reimagined

The biggest highlight of the new range is the all-new RZ 550e F SPORT AWD. With a powerful 408 hp setup, it becomes the RZ with the biggest focus on performance to date. The F SPORT features sport-tuned suspension with updated damper and spring settings for sharper handling.

A new M Mode simulates manual shift in gearing through paddle shifters and adds immersive sounds and a shift guide meter. This creates a driving experience that is more involved for those who want the feel of a traditional performance car and without any emissions.

Better Range and Charging Convenience

The 2026 RZ offers upgraded charging and options for range, ideal for buyers in the UAE. The addition of the North American Charging System (NACS) port means there is broader access to fast-charging networks.

Now, there is a standard upgraded 11-kW onboard AC charger, which replaces the previous 7-kW unit, and brings faster top-ups at home or public stations. The estimated driving ranges are:

• RZ 350e FWD: 302 miles.
• RZ 450e AWD: 261 miles.
• RZ 550e F SPORT AWD: 228 miles.

The battery, with DC fast charging, can go from 10% to 80% in just 30 minutes and that is great for long UAE road trips with fewer stops.

Power Across the Range

Every 2026 Lexus RZ benefits from extra power and tuning:

• RZ 350e FWD: 224 hp.
• RZ 450e AWD: 313 hp.
• RZ 550e F SPORT AWD: 408 hp.

Each variant is now quicker and smoother, and offers a quieter ride while maintaining the luxury feel that everyone knows Lexus for.

Smarter AWD with DIRECT4 System

The revised DIRECT4 all-wheel-drive system is a key upgrade in the 2026 RZ. This advanced setup constantly adjusts front and rear torque balance depending on road and driving conditions.

Torque can shift between 60:40 and 0:100 under acceleration, and between 80:20 and 0:100 when cornering. It stays at a balanced 50:50 to help improve long-distance efficiency in Range Mode.

Standout Styling with New Finishes

Lexus has also added visual flair to match the performance. A new color, Wind, which is like a light metallic grey, is exclusive to the F SPORT model.

Seven monotone and four two-tone combinations are now available. The result is a sleeker, sportier look that appeals to UAE buyers that are conscious of style.
