Recent Updates of Patrol Nismo

Nissan Patrol Nismo is among the three Nismo vehicles that Nissan has. Nissan has made the necessary changes to make sure that the Patrol Nismo is capable enough to bear the weight of the Nismo name. Unlike the standard model, the Patrol gets a massive 5.6-litre V8 engine that produces a whopping 428 hp. Nissan has also incorporated its Variable Valve Event and Lift (VVEL) and Direct Injection Gasoline (DIG) technologies to improve efficiency, power, and torque with lower emissions.

You can easily spot the Patrol Nismo as it comes with Nismo’s signature design clues like a body kit with red striping, red highlights on door mirrors, etc. Thanks to the added changes, the Nissan Patrol Nismo is so much better in handling, acceleration, and sporty driving dynamics. In order to own one, you’d need to spend AED 388,500. Giving it a good fight is the Cadillac Escalade and the Lexus LX.

If you thought that the Nissan Patrol is a grand SUV, the Nismo variant takes things a step ahead to bring in the performance punch to it. This variant was unveiled in Dubai back in 2015 as an exclusive body kit that had better suspension and slightly tuned engine.

It dons the shoes of being a race-inspired Patrol SUV and boasts on a very powerful engine, more than some of its competitors. It primarily competes against the likes of the Ford Expedition and Toyota Land Cruiser. Apart from the 5.6-litre Nismo, the Patrol is also offered with the same capacity LE trims and smaller 4.0-litre XE and SE.

Interior & Features

Once you step inside the Nissan patrol Nismo, you will love the setting. The Nismo-type leather upholstery is a delight. There are wooden trims in some places within the cabin. The air-conditioning is a fully automatic unit and offers optimum comfort. There is a power sunroof that has the tilt and slide function. The seats have the ‘Nismo’ badging on them.

For the rear passengers, there is a DVD system that is connected to a 7-inch colour display. The dashboard has an 8-inch display screen and Bluetooth, FM, Aux-in, and MP3 for the audio system, which is again given a 2-channel Bose Premium unit with 13 speakers.

The Nissan Patrol Nismo is much more than the external body kit. The red highlights every here and there is a just a testimony of how sporty it looks, especially on the lower front lip spoiler, lower skirts in the sides and on the outer rear-view mirrors. It has the Double Wishbone suspension up front that uses the Bilstein shockers.

Also, it comes with the segment-first Zero-Lift aerodynamics that makes passing through at high-speeds extremely safe and fun. It rides on 22-inch forged-alloy wheels from RAYS. Fog lamps are given in the front as well as at the rear.

Ride & Handling

The Nissan Patrol Nismo is made to be an exceptional car for the people who seek fun on the long open highways. The car has customised reinforcements on the body for a very precise and quick steering response. Added to that, the sporty feel on the steering adds to the Nismo package.

The 22-inch wheels offer great stability and road grip, even if you are cruising at the three-digit speed figure. However, with such a high-performance, the efficiency takes a hit as you get just a meagre 6.9 kmpl mileage. However, this figure is marginally better than the biggest engine variant of the Toyota Land Cruiser.

Engine & Fuel Consumption

The Nissan Patrol is powered by a 5.6-litre DOHC V8 engine that is powerful to its core. The engine can output a humongous 428 horsepower along with a peak torque of 560 Nm. The produced power is sent down to all the four wheels via a 7-speed automatic gearbox.

With such huge power production, the Nismo, with its high weight, can hit the 100 kmph mark from a standstill in just 6.6 seconds and can then go on to touch a top speed of 200 kmph.

Braking & Safety

The Nissan Patrol Nismo has ventilated disc brakes for all the wheels. However, apart from just the standard disc brakes, the company offers ABS, electronic brakeforce distribution (which is a very important feature for a big SUV) and brake assist. The intelligent cruise control keeps the safety bit intact while high-speed cruising.

Moreover, the brake assist also has the forward collision warning and distance control assist system. Hill descent control, hill start assist, and vehicle dynamic control offer a good bit of driver’s assistance.

For the safety of the occupants, the company offers dual front, side and curtain airbags.

The Nissan Patrol Nismo, being the sportier version of the standard SUV, does turn out to be an amazing buy for the prospective customers. The better engine tuning enables more power extraction, which makes the SUV more powerful than most of the competitors. Plus, it isn’t very expensive compared to its peers and would offer a great value-for-money.

    Comfortable and good service

They say that roads have the answer to everything. I don't know if that is true for everyone or not, but it is for me definitely. I have always loved travelling to different places and exploring the unconventional places. After college was over, I decided to go for trips and start a blog of my own.
