Luxury and dynamics are the terms always hunted for while buying a car and the company knows it right. The luxury car division of Nissan well known as Infiniti injects its cars with a particular charm that cannot be resisted easily. The automaker is out with its one more asset christened as QX80. The car is a full-size luxury SUV, which was formerly named as Infiniti QX56 and was based on the Nissan Armanda full-size SUV, sharing the F-Alpha platform with Nissan Titan pickup truck. The car has been in production since 2004 and is presently running in its second generation since 2010.

Interior & Features

Just dive into the solemnly luxurious interiors of the full-size SUV and you will find yourself an immense amount of comfort wrapped in technology. The driver is given a pleasurable authority with the leather-wrapped multifunctional steering wheel with power tilt adjustment, 10-way power adjustable and 2-way power lumbar supported driver's seat and the convenient 8-inch WVAG color touch-screen display compatible with Infiniti Hard Drive Navigation System, audio, climate control and more. To fetch a sense of luxurious comfort in the car, the cabins are installed with leather-appointed well-cushioned seats with heated and power adjustable front seats, 15-speaker Bose Cabin Surround Sound system available on Luxury Grade and the Tri-Zone Automatic Temperature Control System. The cargo space gifted to you by the car is 470 litres, which can conveniently be extended to a maximum of humongous 2693 litres.

Grandness is made to appear robust with the fairly sophisticated exterior design of the car. The exterior designers have incorporated a commanding look in the front body of the car with the attributes like the exclusively curved design of the front bonnet, the wide honey-comb grille, dazzling LED auto-level headlights with adaptive front-lighting system, wide and masculine front bumper design and LED fog lights. The sporty trait of the SUV is evident with the features like the stylish LED taillights, fully integrated rear bumper protector and the roof rails. The other accentuating feature added to the car is the 14-spoke 22 inch forged aluminium-alloy wheels. The huge dimensions it carries are 5290mm x 2030mm x 1925mm (LxWxH) along with a long wheelbase of 3075mm, making it a mammoth SUV.

Engine & Fuel Consumption

Engine, mileage and variants:

The powerhouse sitting under the bonnet of the car is a 5.6-litre V8 Double Overhead Camshaft (DOHC) engine with Variable Valve Event and Lift (VVEL) and Continuously Variable Valve Timing Control System (CVVTCS). This purely refined engine burns oil to squeeze out a maximum power output of 400hp at 5800 rpm and a maximum torque of 560Nm at 4000 rpm. The engine hugs an electronically controlled 7-speed automatic transmission which collectively with the engine catapult the SUV with a speed of 100km/h from rest in just 6.5 sec. The fuel economy of the car is 5.95 kmpl for city roads while 8.5 kmpl for highways. The dynamic SUV comes in two grade options- the excellence grade and the luxury grade.

Braking & Safety

Safety, braking and miscellaneous:

Being an Infiniti successor the car faithfully holds the responsibility of the safety of its occupants with a fully-functional list of technologies dedicated towards safety. This list comprises of handling assists like the Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) and Traction Control System ( TCS) and front and rear disc brakes with Intelligent Brake Assist, Anti-lock Braking System and Forward Emergency Braking (FEB). The car is also equipped with Forward Collision Warning, Backup Collision Intervention (BCI), Blind Spot Warning, Parking Assist, Distance Control Assist and Infiniti Advanced Air Bag System.
