The luxury division of Ford Motor Company, Lincoln Motor Company has been addicted to hearing a lot of praise with its each new innovation in the form of its successors. One of these innovation gets a name as the Lincoln Navigator, the car is a full-size luxury SUV which was introduced by the company as a 1998 model and the production began on May 14, 1997. The car also marks its exclusiveness as being the Lincoln's first SUV as well as its first four-wheel drive capable vehicle. The large SUV shares its platform with the Ford Expedition. It is presently running in its third generation with a styling refreshment in 2015. The passengers also get to enjoy the dual-zone electronic climate control system and the THX II Certified Audio System with 14 speakers. Along with all this comfort the car buys a space of 514litres dedicated to the cargo volume for the Navigator variant and a space of 1207litres for the Navigator L variant.



There is robustness and authority in each detail of the exterior design of the full-size SUV. The exterior designers have given the car a commanding and authoritative front look, which is a product of features like the large signature radiator Satin-finish grille integrated with expressive horizontal chromed slats, rectangular projector-style HID headlamps with LED signature lamps, autolamp and rainlamp and wide and manly front bumper of the car. The sporty DNA of the car is hinted by the muscular side body with body-color lower bodyside cladding with chrome NAVIGATOR lettering, stylish rear LED lamps, bright exhaust tips and the aluminum roof rails. The car is also equipped with class III/IV heavy-duty trailer tow package. The exterior dimensions of the large SUV indicating its hugeness are 5269 mm x 2331 mm x 1984 mm (L x W x H). The length increases to 5646mm for the L variant.

Lincoln Navigator comes in two exclusive trim levels namely Lincoln and Lincoln L. These are mated with Select variant and Reserve variant which have a standard rear-wheel drive and an optional 4-wheel drive. The dynamic full-size SUV is poured-in power down the throat by an ultra-refined power plant christened as 3.5-Litre EcoBoost V6 twin-turbocharged, direct-injection engine, which squeezes out energy by burning oil to offer you a maximum power output of 310 hp at 5100 rpm and a maximum torque of 495 Nm at 2750 rpm. This well-cultivated engine is mated to a 6-speed SelectShift automatic transmission with rear wheel drive, which collectively with the engine projects the car to establish a speed of 100km/h from naught in 9.3 sec and a top speed of 179 km/h. Along with these values the SUV keeps itself in boundaries by displaying a fuel economy of 15.3 litres/100km for city roads and 11.3 litres/100km for highways. The SUV comes in two exclusive trim levels namely – the Select variant and Reserve variant.

This array of safety features includes the precise handling controls like the AdvanceTrac with RSC (Roll Stability Control), hill start assist and optional Control Trac 4-wheel-drive system, braking assistance with the Anti-lock Braking system integrated on the power 4-wheel disc brakes, and other safety and security attributes like the BLIS (Blind Spot Information System) with cross-traffic alert, driver and passenger dual-stage front airbags, safety belt pretensioners and the SecuriLock Passive Anti-Theft System.
