Nissan has earned the top spot among Mass-Market automotive brands in the 2025 J.D. Power U.S. Initial Quality Study (IQS). It also secured second place overall in the entire industry.
This milestone recognises Nissan’s strong push to deliver quality, reliability, and a better ownership experience. It is directly measured from customer feedback in the first 90 days of using the vehicle.

Outstanding Model Performances
Several Nissan models emerged as clear leaders within their categories in a field that is very competitive, according to the J.D. Power IQS results:
- Nissan Altima: Ranked highest in the Midsize Car segment.
- Nissan Sentra: Ranked highest in the Compact Car segment.
- Nissan Rogue: Among top three in the Compact SUV segment.
- Nissan Frontier: Among top three in the Midsize Pickup segment.
- Nissan Pathfinder: Among top three in the Midsize SUV segment.
These results only show how the brand is focused on consistently building quality and a smooth user experience across its product lines.

About the Study
The J.D. Power U.S. Initial Quality Study, now in its 39th year, is widely respected in the automotive industry. It assesses the number of problems per 100 vehicles (PP100) that new owners report within the first three months of ownership.
Nissan, in the findings this year, had the lowest PP100 score among all Mass-Market competitors, which shows fewer reported issues and a stronger early ownership experience.
The study gathered responses from tens of thousands of 2025 model-year vehicle owners, evaluating 223 detailed problem areas across nine main categories.
These include performances while driving, engine and transmission, infotainment systems, exterior and interior quality, features, and build standards.

Customer-Centered Strategy
This recognition means that Nissan is making steady improvements across product development, manufacturing, and customer service processes.
The company, by aligning its product strategy with real-world user feedback, has taken measurable steps toward delivering vehicles that are more dependable and also easily meet the needs of customers.
A Nissan spokesperson said: “Nissan’s achievement as we have topped the Mass-Market category means we are committed to quality across every part of the ownership experience. It also shows how deep we focus on what matters most to drivers, like reliability, usability, and peace of mind.”
The brand is increasingly gaining ground globally, including in key markets like the UAE. So, acknowledgements like this one will help reinforce the confidence of buyers.
Drivers in the UAE value dependable daily transport and high-quality finishes. So, they can expect the latest models from Nissan to reflect these high standards.
