Lamborghini has unveiled the Urus SE Performante, a flagship plug-in hybrid pairing a twin-turbo V8 with an electric motor. The combined output stands at 812 CV and 1,000 Nm of torque, making it the most powerful Urus built. Hybridisation, here, is the performance tool.

Hybrid Power and Performance

A 4.0-litre, 3996cc twin-turbo V8 and a permanent-magnet electric motor combine for 812 CV (597 kW) and 1,000 Nm of torque, with peak power at 6,000 rpm. Quick numbers. The Urus SE Performante covers 0-100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and hits 200 km/h in 10.8 seconds.

Its top speed is rated at 312 km/h. A recalibrated 8-speed automatic transmission handles power delivery, using an electronically controlled central clutch and a self-locking rear differential. At 2,473 kg, the vehicle hits a weight-to-power ratio of 3 kg/CV.

Carbon-Fibre Construction

Carbon fibre covers the front bonnet, front and rear bumpers, wheel arches, and the rear spoiler. Inside, the steering wheel uses carbon-fibre elements too. A titanium exhaust system completes the lightweighting package. Together, these changes cut 32 kg versus the standard Urus SE, offsetting the hybrid system's added mass.

Chassis and Aerodynamic Gains

Lamborghini has drawn on its hypercar projects for the chassis technology here. A 6D predictive chassis sensor, adapted from the Fenomeno hypercar, tracks multi-axis movements and feeds data to the suspension and stability systems. Countering body roll by up to 55% at high speeds, the AURA dual-chamber air suspension also cuts cabin vibrations by 25%. Up front, a functional S-Duct on the bonnet joins an oversized rear diffuser in a new aerodynamic package; together they push total downforce up by 16%. Braking has been upgraded too, with the distance required to halt from 200 km/h reduced and thermal efficiency improved by 8%. Three tyre choices are available: 22-inch or 23-inch Pirelli P Zero, or a 22-inch Bridgestone Potenza Race.

Lamborghini has confirmed its SUV direction with the Urus SE Performante. Electrification now drives peak performance; pure-combustion tuning alone no longer gets there.

Inside, a new 12.3-inch infotainment screen carries graphics derived from the Lamborghini Revuelto hybrid supercar.

The aviation-inspired mechanical toggle buttons sit on the centre console. Rally Mode rounds out the package, with custom traction and stability calibration tuned for loose surfaces.
