Lamborghini Urus

On the inside, the Lamborghini Urus has a more luxurious and comfort-oriented interior, when compared to the other supercars on sale from the brand. However, it retains some of the cutting-edge design elements of the other cars from the brand, which makes it look like a dramatic place to be in.

The dashboard of the Urus looks broad and wide, with the cabin having several hexagonal elements and sharp creases everywhere. The driver’s cockpit of the Urus looks fancy with the multi-functional steering wheel having a full-TFT instrument console behind it. The waterfall-like centre console of the cabin here has a pair of hexagonal AC vents at the top, a touchscreen infotainment system in the middle, and a slanted touchscreen for drive and climate controls below it. At the bottom of the centre console, there are aircraft-like toggle-themed switches for transmission and drive modes, with a fighter-jet-inspired push start-stop button in the middle.

The cabin of the Urus can be configured by one’s choice of elements like leather, Alcantara, wood, carbon fibre, and aluminium. In addition, the rear cabin of the Urus feels practical and spacious enough for two full-sized adults. This four-seater SUV is packed with features like a panoramic sunroof, heated and ventilated seats, powered front seats with memory function, a wireless charger, and more.

The Lamborghini Urus is designed on the lines of modern-day supercars like the Huracan and Aventador, which explains why it looks as sharp and aggressive as them. It looks like how a Lamborghini should look, with a host of cuts and creases and aggressive lines, which make it look like one of the sportiest SUVs on sale today.

At the front, the Lamborghini Urus has a heightened fascia, which looks aggressive with sharp and angular-looking all-LED headlamps. However, the sense of aggression reaches a new height with the sporty-looking bumper, which has several sharp creases and lines, especially on the corners. The aggressive-looking central part of the front bumper, which consists of the air dam, and the sharply rising contours of the bonnet, give a very eye-catching look to the SUV.

The side profile of the Lamborghini Urus has a rakishly-flowing roofline, but it isn’t as dramatic in its appearance as the other supercars from the Italian marquee. The trapezoidal wheel arches, with gloss black mouldings, high ground clearance, and the large 22-inch alloy wheels, give the Urus an imposing stance, thus staying true to the ethos of an SUV. The Urus also has haunches over the wheel arches, which further enhances the muscularity of the SUV.

It is at the rear, where the Lamborghini Urus has a polarizing design for some people. While it is not as smooth in its design as the front and side profiles of the SUV, its busy lines at the rear give it an eye-catching appearance. At the back, the Urus has slim-looking tail lamps, which have a similar type of LED inserts as those in the headlamps. The black garnish running between the tail lamps and the rakish rear windscreen does give it a dramatic appearance.

Apart from the fantastically-tuned sports suspension, the Lamborghini Urus also gets six drive modes for varying terrains responses – Neve (on-road), Terra (off-road), Sabbia (sand), Strada (comfort), Sport and Corsa (track-focused). All these customized driving modes give the Urus a personalized driving experience of all types of driving terrains.

At the heart of the Lamborghini Urus is a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine, which is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. This engine produces a maximum power output of 650 PS and a peak torque output of 850 Nm, which makes it currently the most powerful production-spec SUV.

The Lamborghini Urus comes equipped with state-of-the-art safety features like eight airbags, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, high beam assist, ISOFIX mounts for child seats, lane departure warning, and adaptive cruise control.

It’s too hard to find something wrong with the Lamborghini Urus. Sure, it comes with a stiff ride quality and an astronomically high price tag, but these are some traits that come default with a sports SUV. Be it the way it looks or the way it drives (or shoots), the Urus is one SUV that has a charm of its own.
