Abu Dhabi: The intent was the open question from day one. Hongqi has answered it with a price. The Chinese luxury brand has launched its Guoya executive sedan in the UAE, going straight at the segment's European heavyweights with a seven-figure entry price and an in-house V8.

Launch & Pricing

Hongqi has introduced a pricing system for the Guoya in the UAE, with different options available. The basic model, which comes in a single color, costs AED 1,070,000, including VAT. If you want a two-tone finish, the price goes up to AED 1,107,000. You can also add privacy glass to either of these models. For the single-color Guoya, adding privacy glass brings the price to AED 1,149,000. The top-of-the-line model combines the two-tone exterior with a full privacy glass package, and this will cost you AED 1,249,000.

The V8 Engine & Pace

Hongqi designed the engine themselves, and it's a really impressive piece of equipment. The high-performance V8 engine has a 'HOT-V' layout, with two turbochargers mounted in the middle, and Hongqi says it can produce 469 horsepower and 680 Newton-meters of torque. In terms of dimensions, the Guoya measures 5353mm in length, has a wheelbase of 3260mm, and is equipped with R20 tyres.
