Ford Mustang Hybrid revealed in a teaser video

ABU DHABI: A hybrid Ford Mustang would be extremely welcomed by all who love the muscle car. Moreover, the company had even mentioned that an electric-powered version of the car could join the lineup by 2020, which would be based on the current generation.

Hence, with the future of the Mustang looking bright, Ford has released a teaser image that might be the much-talked-about hybrid muscle car. However, this hasn’t come straight out of the box as the company revealed a video named “The Future is Built”. And in this video, a short stint showed the front section of a car, seemingly the Mustang, albeit darkened.

In the video, the narrator talked the viewer through about how saying things don’t get things done, but doing it does. And while saying how Ford got things done by doing them and not saying alone, the video shifted to the current generation Mustang and the one for the next generation.

Considering the teased upcoming generation of the Mustang (if at all it happens to be), the company did manage to make it look extremely different over the current model. The grille looks very different and the front fascia has smoother lines. The bumper has taken a more sculpted look. The grille is not wide anymore as the sides of the bumpers are covered up.

The teaser video even showed the engine section, and it appears that the company will use the same V8 setup paired with an electric motor. This engine bay was lit in neon blue illumination which was previously used at the time of the electrification promotion.

However, Ford managed to conceal any further details of the upcoming car, which leaves everything to speculations. Hence, you may draw out the possibility that this hybrid model could be Mach 1. But the only thing that is certain is that this new Mustang will have the hybrid mechanism and would continue to be the rear-wheel-drive workhorse.
