Ferrari reveals road-legal SF90 XX Stradale and Spider supercars

ABU DHABI: Ferrari's 'XX' series of cars have always been known to be racetrack focused. But for the first time, Ferrari has unleashed two road-legal supercars named the SF90 XX Stradale and SF90 XX Spider. The SF90 XX Stradale is a coupe available in only 799 units, and the SF90 XX Spider is a convertible that will have 599 production units.

The SF90 XX is powered by a powerful 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that is mated with three electric motors. Combinedly, the system produces a maximum power output of 1,016 hp.

The coupe version takes 6.5 seconds to hit 0-200 kmph, while the Spider takes 6.7 seconds to achieve the same. 

Ferrari says its road-legal car's aero efficiency can be compared with the LaFerrari as it aims to set a new lap time during Ferrari's international media test drive program. But around the circuit, the regular SF90 was 0.7 seconds quicker than the LaFerrari. 

Speaking about the other highlights, the SF90 XX gets redesigned callipers, larger brake discs, and improved cooling. The lightest carbon racing seats have been fitted to the car leading to a 10 kg reduction in weight. A single wraparound light bar spans the aggressive rear's width. The reworked exhaust system is also fitted for a richer sound.

The SF90 XX Stradale is being offered at a starting price of €770,000 (approx. AED 3,083,015.85). The pricing increases to €850,000 (approx. AED 3,403,329.18) for the Spider version.
