2026 Ford Territory Unveiled – Sharper Design and New Tech

Abu Dhabi : The American automaker has also confirmed a hybrid variant for the compact SUV launching soon.

Ford has revealed the new 2026 Ford Territory, showcasing a fresh design, smarter technology, and greater comfort. This compact SUV remains one of the brand’s most popular models. It will continue to do well in the Middle East and other parts of the world. 

The updated Territory keeps its reliable 1.8-litre EcoBoost engine. Ford also plans to introduce a hybrid version soon. The new model aims to meet the needs of drivers looking for style, tech, and efficiency in a small SUV.

2026 Ford Territory Engine and Specifications

The well-known 1.8L turbocharged EcoBoost engine remains under the hood, delivering 188 hp and 320 Nm of torque. It comes with a 7-speed automatic gearbox and drives only the front wheels.

Ford has announced that a hybrid version of the Territory will soon be available in this region. This will give eco-conscious buyers more options, offering an electrified choice that still provides plenty of space and practicality. 

2026 Ford Territory – Exterior Changes

The 2026 Territory has a more rugged front look compared to the earlier version. 

• It now features a new bumper and a redesigned grille. Both the front and rear lights now use full LED technology. 
• The SUV also offers new wheel options—either 18 or 19 inches, depending on the trim level. 
• There are fresh exterior colours to choose from, giving the SUV a new, modern look.

2026 Ford Territory – Interiors

Inside, the Territory has received several updates. 

• The headrests are now wider, and there is extra padding on the seats to boost comfort. 
• Both front and rear passengers can now enjoy USB and Type-C ports that support quick charging.
• The boot space stays the same at 448 litres, which can be increased to 1,422 litres when the rear seats are folded down.
• One of the main changes for 2026 is the new infotainment system. The Territory now has two large 12.3-inch screens — one shows the speedometer and gauges, while the other serves as the central display. The system supports full-screen Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also offers split-screen mode, so climate controls are visible on a slim strip at the bottom.
• FordPass™ connectivity is also new. This feature lets owners use their smartphone to lock or unlock the vehicle remotely, start the engine, check fuel levels, and receive updates about the SUV’s health.

The 2026 Territory now offers a larger set of driver-assist features to improve safety and build driver confidence. These features include:

• Lane Centring Control (new for 2026)
