Say Hello to the Lotus Exige Sport 410

ABU DHABI: The first model of the generation 3 Exige series was introduced back in 2011. It featured a massive 300 hp engine. Moving ahead in time, Lotus has recently revealed its latest variant that features a 400 hp engine.

The British car making giant released the Lotus Exige Sport 410 in May 2018 and they are calling it the “ultimate” series production version of the car. You can look at the 410 as a milder version of the previously released 430 cup. The design is much more similar to the Cup than the Sport 350 variant.

Looking at the design, the Exige Sport 410 has curved front corner intakes with in-built air curtains and prominent carbon fiber front splitters. In addition to that, there is a high-mounted rear wing and a large aluminium diffuser. With all of these components combined together,  the aerodynamics is able to produce a down-force up to 150kg.

The interiors of the Sport 410 has an elegant cockpit layered with Alcantara and leather that has contrast yellow stitching. The seats are marked with the Lotus logo and have a "Sport 410" badging. Some other features include a surround sound system, air conditioner, and a complete leather interior. Most of the parts of the Lotus Exige Sport 410 are made out of lightweight carbon fiber components. Hence, the dry weight of the car is only  1,054 kg.

As significant from the name itself, this version of Lotus houses a 410 Hp Edelbrock supercharged Toyota 3.5L V-6 engine for ultimate performance. As compared to the 430 cup, the torque of the Sport 410 is reduced to 420 Nm, but it is decent enough for a lightweight sports car. With the 6-speed manual transmission, the car can hit 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.4 seconds and hence it is a complete bliss for car enthusiasts. The top speed for the coupe version is 290 kmph and for the roadster version, it is 233 kmph.

With the release of the Exige Sport 410, Lotus completes the Exige lineup for 2018. So is this the perfect Exige?
