Lotus introduces 2020 Evora GT410

British sports car manufacturer Lotus has introduced the Evora GT410, an upgraded version of the GT410 Sport. The new model is internally known as ‘Phil’s spec’ because the company’s chief executive officer Phil Popham called for the car’s UK launch, after trying a more supple and quieter US-specific Evora.

The 2020 Lotus Evora GT410 is fitted with air-conditioning, heated seats, and cruise control. The car comes with Sparco sports seats to lend more driving comfort. The cabin has a premium touchscreen infotainment unit that supports Apple CarPlay. Its safety equipment, among others, includes a reverse parking camera. 

The Norwich-headquartered company has used improved insulation in the 2020 Evora GT410 to reduce road noise. The car’s door trims now have storage bins that lend more practicality. The doors also have integrated armrests for more driving comfort. The vehicle, from the outside, looks strikingly similar to the GT410 Sport though the company has introduced a number of new colors in the car alongside the current palette. 

The 2020 Lotus Evora GT410 is hauled by a 3.5-litre, turbocharged V6 petrol motor that produces 416 PS maximum power and 410 Nm peak torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed (with sports ratio) manual gear system. A 6-speed automatic transmission (AT) unit can be availed as an option. Lotus claims that the car makes 0-100 kmph in 4.2 seconds with the manual, and 4.1 seconds for the AT.   

The Evora GT410 gets new unique dampers that provide enhanced driving comfort. The car now has a body-colored roof. The side mirror caps, tailgate, front access panel, and the side sills also get a body-colored treatment. The 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels get all-weather Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires instead of the Pilot Sport Cup 2s that run the GT410 Sport. 

The Evora GT5410 being a softer version of the GT410 is priced at £3,000.
