Smart Mobility International (SMI), based in Abu Dhabi, is making a bold move to reshape electric mobility in the UAE. The company will launch Range-Extended Electric Vehicles (REEVs) later this year, starting with the new Avatr 07. This initiative aims to address the key limitations of Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) while aligning with the UAE’s sustainability goals.

SMI’s decision to expand into REEVs stems from its focus on delivering practical electric mobility. As the exclusive UAE distributor for Chinese brands Avatr and Neta, the company has already introduced fully electric Avatr 11 and 12 models. With the upcoming launch of the Avatr 07 REEV, SMI enters a new chapter of innovation tailored to regional needs.

The Avatr 07 uses Kunlun range-extending technology, which combines a fully electric drivetrain with a petrol-powered generator. This system charges the battery on the move, allowing drivers to go farther without needing a charging station. For UAE drivers covering long distances or driving in areas with limited charging access, this model brings freedom and flexibility.
