Dongfeng’s newest beast, the M-Hero M817, has landed with a bang in China, and its powerful numbers make it a strong candidate for UAE roads.

This 5-seat SUV, designed for modern drivers who demand power, range, and off-road strength, brings together hybrid engineering and rugged design in two distinct trims: the City Edition and the Off-Road Edition. With over 10,000 units sold within a day of its debut, it’s clear the M817 is off to a flying start.

The M-Hero M817’s design is aggressive and functional. It spans 5,100 mm in length, 1,998 mm in width, and 1,899 mm in height, giving it a dominant road presence. The 2WD City Edition gets 687 bhp and 848 Nm, hitting 0-100 km/h in 5.2 seconds and covering up to 140 km on pure EV.

Both versions, thanks to the EREV setup, can exceed a total driving range of 1,000 km.

Built to Conquer Any Terrain

The M817 Off-Road Edition, with a 33-degree approach angle, 34-degree departure angle, and adjustable air suspension, can clear 335 mm ground, expandable to 385 mm. These numbers make it well-suited for the UAE’s deserts and rough tracks, offering both performance and versatility.
