2024 Mitsubishi L200/Triton pickup breaks cover in Thailand

ABU DHABI: Mitsubishi has uncovered the all-new 2024 Triton (known as the L200 in the UAE) pickup truck in Thailand. The vehicle has undergone significant redesigns and improvements, enhancing its performance and appearance.

A new ladder frame chassis has been developed with a larger cross-sectional area resulting in a 60% boost in torsional rigidity and a 40% increase in bending rigidity. The new 1180 MPa high-tensile steel material has been used to manufacture the pick-up truck reducing its overall weight. 

The new Mitsubishi Triton/L200 is being offered in three body styles, namely Single Cab, Double Cab, and Club Cab. The Double Cab variant is larger than before, 1,930 mm in width (+115 mm), measuring 5,360 mm in length (+55 mm), and 1,815 mm in height (+35 mm).

The new pickup has a luxurious interior with intuitive controls and a spacious layout. The key interior highlights are:

• A free-standing touchscreen infotainment system 
• Mitsubishi Connect app that comes with telematics features enabling owners to remotely monitor their pick-up truck's status.
• High contrast dials for better visibility.
• New seats with stronger lower back support and wider shoulder areas
• Wireless Charger
• Bigger Storage Compartments
• Mitsubishi Connect 
• USB A and C sockets for charging devices
• 'Horizontal Axis' concept underpinning the overhauled dashboard design

All-new 2024 Mitsubishi Triton/L200 features a newly built 4N16 high-efficiency clean diesel engine. This 2.4-litre turbo diesel engine is available in three power levels. In its high-output form, the engine produces 204 PS at 3,500 rpm and 470 Nm of peak torque available from 1,500 and 2,750 rpm. The other two low-output tunings provide 184 PS/430 Nm and 150 PS/330 Nm.

The suspension has also been upgraded with the Super Select 4WD-II system that comes with updated drive modes for enhanced on-road prowess.

The 2024 Mitsubishi Triton/L200 has been priced at THB 699,000 (AED 74,633.691) and goes up to THB 1,027,000 (AED 109,642.50). We're expecting the upgraded pickup to arrive in the UAE soon.
