Ford F-150 Tremor

The Ford F-150 Tremor looks huge and accommodating on the inside, with the all-black cabin layout featuring contrast satin silver inserts at places for a premium appeal. The dashboard here gets block-themed elements and features, which make the cabin feel large.

The four-spoke steering wheel of the Ford F-150 Tremor feels nice and chunky to hold and is electronically adjustable for both tilt and telescopic functions while also coming with heated and memory functionalities. The instrument console behind this steering wheel is a large 8-inch full-TFT display unit, which looks modern and comes with multiple display modes. The large and standout centre console has a 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system with vertical AC vents to its sides. The lower centre console, which is partitioned from the upper centre console with a sleek and wide satin silver line, accommodates premium, good-to-hold buttons for audio and climate control functions.

The satin silver line flows through the co-passenger side of the dashboard and wraps around the AC vents on the dashboard corners. The premium-looking cabin of the Ford F-150 Tremor gets more feel-good features like heated and ventilated seats, power front seats with memory functions, dual-zone automatic climate control with rear AC vents, sunroof, ambient lighting and 18-speaker Bang & Olufsen Unleashed audio system with sub-woofer and amplifier.

Based on the facelifted version of the Ford F-150, which was unveiled in 2020, the new Ford F-150 Tremor looks sporty and aggressive right from the outside. The tweaks and add-ons are mild over the standard F-150, but they do the job of creating a strong impression of a sports-oriented, rugged-looking pickup truck for driving enthusiasts.

The front profile of the Ford F-150 Tremor gets a massive all-black grille, with a grey rectangular portion, which is tilted from the outer side edges. There is a slim copper-coloured strip that flows across the width of the grille right in the middle, adding a nice contrast to the appearance of the grille. The side edges of the front fascia get the huge block-shaped headlamps, which feature dual LED projectors aligned vertically, along with inverted L-shaped daytime running LEDs over the outer edges. The LED DRLs extend to the sides of the trapezoidal LED fog lamps placed on the sides of the front bumper, which also gets a rugged angular skid plate right in the middle at the bottom.

While the front bonnet has muscular lines and haunches over them, the Ford F-150 Tremor looks massive when viewed from the side, with the angular-looking windows and door panels further accentuating its muscular appearance. Beneath the rounded wheel arches, the F-150 Tremor all-terrain tyres over 18-inch dark matte alloy wheels. Ford also offers the option of 37-inch all-terrain tyres over 17-inch forged aluminium bead-lock capable wheels for an added premium. At the back, the Ford F-150 Tremor has a massive deck lid, which is electronically operable and comes with huge block-shaped tail lamps with LED inserts. Here too, the bumper gets a rugged aluminium skid plate in the middle and unique dual exhausts at the bottom.

The four-wheel drive system, which comes standard in the Ford F-150 Tremor, gives it an immense capability to drive over off-road terrains effortlessly. There are seven selectable drive modes on offer for the Ford F-150 Tremor under its Terrain Management System - Normal, Slippery, Sport, Tow/Haul, Off-Road, Baja and Rock Crawl.

The F-150 Tremor also gets a unique Trail-1 pedal drive, which allows an easier low-speed crawling and stopping power without using the brake pedal, thanks to a new-generation system in which as soon as the driver lifts off his foot from the accelerator pedal, hydraulic brake torque is applied to slow down the vehicle and bringing it to a halt. 

There are two petrol engine options for the Ford F-150 Tremor in the UAE car market. The first is the 5.0-litre naturally-aspirated V8 petrol engine shared with the Mustang V8, which produces 400 bhp of maximum power and 556 Nm of maximum torque output. There’s also a 3.5-litre EcoBoost V6 turbocharged petrol engine, which makes 400 bhp of power and 678 Nm of torque.

A 10-speed automatic transmission is the standard gearbox for both powertrain options. In addition, the Ford F-150 Tremor is equipped with a four-wheel drive system with an electronic-locking rear axle, for which there is a separate 2-speed automatic transmission.

The Ford F-150 Tremor has been equipped with a pretty long safety equipment list, which includes eight airbags, AdvanceTrac with roll stability control, 360-degree parking camera, cruise control, trail control with trail turn assist, and front and reverse parking sensors. The Ford Co-Pilot 360 ADAS suite of safety features is also on offer in the Ford F-150 Tremor, which includes pre-collision assist with autonomous emergency braking, BLIS with cross-traffic alert, lane keeping system, reverse brake assist, post-collision braking, evasive steering assist and intersection assist.
