RAM 2500

The interior layout of the RAM 2500 mimics the muscular appeal of the exterior, with the dual-tone black and diesel grey leather-wrapped cabin offering a wide and spacious feel to the occupants. The cluster of physical buttons on the centre console and analogue dials besides the 7-inch TFT screen in the instrument console give it an old-school touch.

The cabin of the RAM 2500 also includes a four-spoke chunky-looking multi-functional steering wheel, vertical AC vents with satin silver surrounds, and a huge portrait-styled 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system. This screen also comes integrated with settings for drive modes and climate control functions, through the split screen layout it offers.

The transmission knob is placed on the dashboard in a dedicated housing beside the centre console. The spacious and comfortable cabin of the RAM 2500 gets more features like a panoramic sunroof, power front seats with memory functions, and multi-zone climate control.

American pickup trucks are known for their muscular and intimidating road presence, and the RAM 2500 is one of the finest examples of that. In the Power Wagon trim in which it is being offered, the RAM 2500 has a massive-looking stance, with a sporty and rugged appeal all around.

The front profile of the RAM 2500 screams aggression, thanks to the huge inverted U-shaped front grille, featuring an all-black theme and honeycomb mesh design. The grille is flanked by large block-themed LED headlamps with split horizontal daytime running LEDs. The headlamps sit within black surrounds which merge with the grille. At the bottom, the front profile of the RAM 2500 has an off-road-spec all-black powder-coated bumper, with tiny fog lamps incorporated in the corners.

The star highlights of the side profile of the RAM 2500 are the 17-inch machined alloy wheels wrapped with Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac all-terrain tyres with large tread blocks. These wheels and tyres, along with a high ground clearance and tall-riding bonnet line and window waistline, give the RAM 2500 a heightened stance. The muscular-looking bonnet of the RAM 2500 comes integrated with air vents on the sides. The A-pillars of the truck come attached with extended rearview mirrors.

The rear profile of the RAM 2500 looks rather clean compared to the front profile, with wraparound tail lamps with rounded edges placed on the sides of the rather clean-looking deck lid. At the back too, the RAM 2500 gets a powder-coated bumper at the bottom.

The RAM 2500 offers a no-compromise feel when it comes to performance as a full-sized off-road truck. This pickup features WARN ZEON-12 winch at the front, using which it claims 5,443 kg of towing capacity. This truck also gets Bilstein gas-charged monotube shocks, front and rear locking differentials, a manual transfer case and a front sway bar for extreme off-road capability.

The only engine option on offer for the RAM 2500 is a 6.4-litre naturally-aspirated Hemi V8 engine, which is one of the most powerful engines available for full-sized pickup trucks. Paired with an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission, this engine delivers 410 PS of power and 581 Nm of torque.

The extensive safety equipment list of the RAM 2500 includes eight airbags, a blind spot monitoring system, a tyre pressure monitoring system, ABS with EBD and brake assist, electronic roll mitigation, hill start assist, electronic stability control, 360-degree parking camera, trailer sway control and trailer reverse steering control.
