The cabin of the Chevrolet Silverado HD might not look as flashy as the exterior and has a sense of old-school appeal to its layout and features list. However, like the exterior, the cabin of the Silverado HD also looks huge, with large-sized panels and housings giving a king-size feel to the occupants.

The Chevrolet Silverado HD features dual-tone black and bronze leather upholstery, with bronze highlights on the spokes of the four-spoke steering wheel, centre console, seats, dashboard and door pads. The large-sized housings for the AC vents on the corners of the dashboard and sides of the centre console have rich-looking satin chrome surrounds. The large-sized centre console has an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with AC vents on either side and a cluster of buttons for the audio and climate control below it in a trapezoidal housing.

However, the stiff suspension, huge dimensions and tall ground clearance make its ride quality a bit bouncy. There are fifteen exterior camera views to make this huge vehicle a bit easier to drive, however, it can still feel intimidating to drive for new drivers. The Silverado HD is also well equipped with driving-friendly features like electronic stability control, tow/haul mode, digital variable steering assist, and auto-grade braking.

The only engine option powering all three variants of the Chevrolet Silverado HD is a 6.6-litre naturally-aspirated V8 engine, which matches the brute appeal of the vehicle as a whole. Paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission, this conventional petrol engine delivers a maximum power output of 401 PS and a peak torque output of 629 Nm.

Apart from the must-haves like airbags all around, ABS with EBD, ESC, hill hold assist and hill descent control, the Silverado HD also comes equipped with top-of-the-line safety features like a safety alert system from the seats, intelligent headlamps, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, forward collision alert, rear cross-traffic alert, lane change alert with side blind zone alert and front and rear park assist.
