Suzuki Across Hybrid brings mild-hybrid efficiency and Level 2 ADAS to UAE mid-size SUV market

Suzuki has introduced its Across Hybrid SUV to the UAE market, with the announcement detailing the vehicle's mild-hybrid powertrain and suite of advanced driver assistance features.

On 7 March 2026, Suzuki brought the new Across Hybrid SUV to the UAE. Five seats, a mild-hybrid powertrain, and a full driver-assistance package. Al Rostamani Trading Company, the official Suzuki retailer in the UAE, handles sales exclusively.

The SHVS hybrid powertrain

The Across combines a 1.5L K15C Dualjet engine with 12V SHVS mild hybrid technology for improved fuel efficiency.

Under the bonnet sits a 1.5-litre K15C Dual Jet four-cylinder petrol, producing 103 bhp and 138 Nm of torque. Drive goes through a six-speed torque-converter automatic gearbox. A 12V SHVS mild-hybrid system comes with it. That unit assists during acceleration and handles stop-start, with Maruti claiming up to 28 km/L. No full or plug-in hybrid complexity; the setup targets urban efficiency.

Level 2 ADAS and safety ratings

Advanced safety technologies include a Level 2 ADAS suite, a first for a Suzuki SUV in this market.

Level 2 ADAS makes its debut on a Suzuki SUV with the Across. The package covers adaptive cruise control with traffic jam assist, lane change assist, and blind spot monitoring, as well as auto emergency braking — which Suzuki calls Dual Sensor Brake Support — lane-keeping assistance, and rear-cross traffic alert. Built on Suzuki's Heartect platform, the Across has earned 5-star ratings from both Bharat NCAP and Global NCAP.

Cabin tech and infotainment

The interior is described as a premium cabin, featuring a large touchscreen and customisable ambient lighting.

Inside, the cabin gets a 10.1-inch HD touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. An 8-speaker Infinity sound system handles audio. The panoramic sunroof has dual sliding glass panels, and a head-up display projects speed and navigation onto the windscreen. Ventilated front seats, a wireless charger, and 64-colour ambient lighting come as standard. Rounding out the package: a 360-degree camera and a hands-free power tailgate with foot gesture control.

Launch details and retailer

The Suzuki Across will be sold exclusively through official retailer Al Rostamani Trading Company in the UAE.

Across is expected to sit above Grand Vitara, which currently retails between AED 79,900 and AED 98,900. Up front, LED projector headlights and 17-inch two-tone alloy wheels are standard across the range. The UV-cut glass and a U-shaped LED rear light setup complete the exterior.
