Rolls-Royce Phantom Dentelle – A Handmade Icon Unveiled

Abu Dhabi : A recent special order of a Rolls-Royce was made by a client from the Middle East.
- The Phantom Dentelle features a two-tone exterior, combining Arctic White with a special Palais Nemasker Dawn colour.
- The floral design is also found on the dashboard and between the back seats. It is embroidered with layers of fine stitching, adding depth and detail.
- The Phantom Dentelle shares the same 6.75-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine that produces 563 hp.
Rolls-Royce has unveiled a bespoke Phantom named the Dentelle. The name 'Dentelle' is French for lace. The luxury car is beautified with handmade couture lace with over 160,000 stitches. It features a floral coachline design that reflects the preferences of the client’s father. The car was bought as a gift for the father from a wealthy Middle Eastern buyer.
Unique Floral Texture
The Phantom Dentelle has been created through Rolls-Royce’s private design team in Dubai. The design was inspired by high-fashion lace. The fabric has 3D floral patterns and delicate details that look like tiny pearls, influencing both the inside and outside of the car.
The designers used many embroidery techniques to mimic the look of delicate petals, ferns, and lace. They used different stitches, thread thicknesses, and colours, including Rose Gold, Sunrise, and Oatmeal. A fine lace-like base made with a triple-run stitch creates a detailed mesh.
Satin stitches outline the floral designs, and raised accents mimic pearls. Over 160,000 stitches were used in eight different embroidery styles.
Precise Embroidery and Upholstery
The speaker grilles are finished in Rose Gold. The interior team at Rolls-Royce says the detailed embroidery on the gallery and rear water fountain area is very finely done. It’s made to look like pearls and reflect light as the car moves, especially with changing sunlight while driving.
Most of the interior is covered in leather in shades of Sunrise and Grace White. The cabin features a white wood veneer and embroidered 'RR' monograms on the front and rear headrests. The look is comfortable, like a high-end lounge.
Bespoke Exterior Design
The car has a custom two-tone paint colour. The lower part is painted in Crystal over Arctic White, while the upper part is Crystal over Palais Nemaskar Dawn. This shade is only used for Phantom cars ordered by Middle Eastern customers.
The Phantom Dentelle has 22-inch polished alloy wheels. These alloy wheels feature body-colored centres and white pinstripes. The Spirit of Ecstasy mascot, finished in Rose Gold, sits on top of a polished Pantheon grille. The engraved treadplates are also trimmed in Rose Gold.
Powertrain and Performance
The car keeps its standard engine. The 6.75-liter twin-turbocharged V12 unit produces 563 hp and 900 Nm of torque. The car can go from 0 to 60 mph in about 4.5 seconds and can reach a top speed of 155 mph.
